Labor announces new plan for Cleveland St High School
Labor has just announced the building of an inner city school proposed to finish by2018.
The school would a rebuilt form of the Cleveland Street Intensive English High School located in Surry Hills, taking in students from years 7 to 9.
To build this new school, Labor will put aside $60 million from its $3 billion infrastructure promise.
However, the Liberals have argued that there’s no point because the school won’t be accepting students until 2020. High schools in the inner city will reach its maximum capacity by 2018. Does Labor really expect families to wait those two years?
But then again, the building of this school depends on the opinions of voters. Will they take Labor’s side or the Liberal’s?
