strickpage using jetspeed as chewtoys i hear you say??? .....interesting....
hello em...please step into my mind palace...
i have been thinking about this since those first segments where swerve and hangman interrupt jetspeed's backstage interviews. the way that swerve comes in and is talking up kevin and then hangman comes in and basically books a match with the three of them (which as we all know, leads to them becoming trios champs)
since then, it honestly to me feels like hangman was just using jetspeed. he was using them to get revenge on joe and the opps, and their trio was never his priority. the world title is and probably always will be.
and i think swerve's motivations are different. watching the promos and segments with swerve and jetspeed, he's latching onto kevin moreso than mike. i think that with hanger the relationship between him and jetspeed was more out of convenience and reliability, but with swerve there is an actual fascination that he has with kevin. but even then. in the beginning at least it felt like swerve was getting to jetspeed as out of jealousy and trying to get involved in hangman's business.
and that may still be the case, after all, swerve comes back to taunt kevin after they lost the belts and have broken up with hangman. but i do think that even if hangman is haunting the narrative so to speak, now it is becoming more personal between kevin and swerve.
all this to say though. something about how swerve comes back and for a time him and hangman are finally working together in a way. but hangman's attention goes elsewhere, and he wins belts with another team. a team thats not with swerve.
tldr i think that swerve and hangman should play tug of war with jetspeed <3
