On my annual rewatch of The Librarians, and I'm on The Apple of Discord, which is a very fun episode!

But I'm SUPER appreciating Flynn's response to a sounds activated booby trapped room. "IM GONNA MAKE A LOT OF NOISE AN RUN AROUND WITH A SHIELD" instead of like. Trying to complete the task veeeerrryyyy quietly.

He knows trying to be quiet with this crew is a lost cause. Eve, bless her, is a NATO military operative, but I can 100% see her yelling at Flynn/Jacob for something and setting off the arrows.

So Flynn running around the room screaming comes off as a silly writing moment, and ya know what, it might be. But I choose to think it was intentional and it makes me happy!

I’ve hit that perfect point in rewatching the librarians (and leverage too) where you’ve forgotten enough that you’re surprised by some of the episodes and moments but remembered enough that they’re still Your Blorbos.

ever think about how Eve Baird was raised her whole life to be in the military and yet the first time she comes across the Librarian, someone who relentlessly talks about ancient artifacts and sentence structure and mythology, despite the fact that they’re both in a deadly situation, she immediately jumps in and asks questions and chips in with her own knowledge of literature and history, and that as she continues working in the Library we find out more of her previous love of books that she pretends not to have, and that it seems like she never wanted to be killing people under orders from governments, but instead wanted to use her strength and abilities to be kind and weird and work WITH good people, not above or below officers, and that if DOSA really did send her to the Library as a sleeper agent, they chose the wrong woman because her moral resolve is as strong as her muscles and as soon as she spends time with people that don’t just see her as a weapon or object, she learns to be fun and love history and value the things and people that matter and make her own choices
