LIBRARY WALK
Charley visits Library Way on East 41st Street between Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue leading to and from the New York Public Library. It consists of 96 bronze panels created by Greenwich Village sculptor Gregg LeFevre inset into the sidewalk featuring literary quotations chosen by US librarians. Midtown, Manhattan, NYC

Library Walk
When walking from Grand Central Terminal to the main branch of The New York Public Library, I like to take 41st Street instead of the usual 42nd Street. That way, I can get some inspiration from the quotes of famous writers and artists about reading, writing and literature.
Sometimes called Library Way, 41st Street between Park Avenue and 5th Avenue has bronze plaques embedded at regular intervals along the sidewalk. 96 in all. Sculpted by Gregg LeFevre, the engaging designs make one pause to read the accompanying quotation.
