He knew the answer now to these things he felt, so why can't he open his damn mouth to say it? He loved her, a deep rooted love that seeped into his core throughout these years. It scared him, made him lash out, made him irritated at being teased further over it. So why can't he, a knight, a brute in an all out war just say it to her? "I..." Come on Mordred, you can say it, you are a man not a bloody boy pissing away his time and more. The things he wished to say just would not come out in full force. He wished to tell her she's beautiful, he wished to say her scars were never a factor in his attraction, those scars only made him angry anyway someone had hurt her.

It was why in the end even if he could not say it out loud, he mouthed simply for now what it was that hung on his heart and mind.

it comes in a wave, the nauseating uncertainty. she knows the words that’re going to follow if he musters the courage.
