Apollo watches hour long YouTube video essays, he also tried to make them but ends up being distracted and is currently editing down 250 hours of footage on a video about the history of folk medicine and it's continued use in our modern day society.

Ok ok, hyapollo beauty and the beast au, both ways.

So if Hyacinthus is the beast, then it could be set during one of Apollo's force mortality stints. He comes across the empty city of Sparta that had *smth* happen to it but he doesn't remember cause he wasn't paying attention. It's sole living occupant he soon finds out is the prince turned monster fiercely defending his home. And also that the entire city's occupants have been turned into inanimate objects.

The story then becomes Apollo coaxing the prince out of his shell and determined to break curse. Yadah yadah yadah love story ya know

If Apollo was the beast, it would still be during one of his mortal stints, except not human. He's lonely and trapped and fuming and smashed like 20 lyres already. Hyacinthus, lost as he is (and injured) comes upon Apollo and despite initial reservations and aggressions, decides to befriend the guy while he heals (Apollo's still a healer even if he's an angry healer)

And ya know, yadah yadah Apollo learns to deal with emotions in a healthy way and Hyacinthus gets what he always wanted, a yapping boyfriend.

The Senate of Cabin 7

From my 'To take up his mantle, to hold down the fort' au!

This is the cabin 7 attending a meeting with the olympians. They're so small and squishy...

For reference on the seating and who's who:

upper row -

Jerry (headache time), Gracie (curious and worried about Will), Yan (dead tired)

bottom row -

Kayla (sitting most left to keep an eye on the majority of the council, especially Zeus), Will (going through the paperworks of being a doctor rn), Austin (also going through the paperworks but more worried about Will atm), Moly (oc) (the hypnos gene and waking up at the crack of dawn makes a sleepy guy)

They're sat between Hephaestus and Ares and though its not said, they are put on pseudo babysitting duties (making sure the kids don't die). Artemis's glares from across the room every now and then also help.

Yan from the 'To take up his mantle, to hold down the fort' au!

They're connected to the knowledge and truth domain, and tasked with organising, cataloguing and keeping the olympus library mostly neat and tidy!

(and yes that's Jon Sims from the Magnus Archives because the idea of knowledge Yan interacting with S3 [Jon's funky road trip] is hairlaious. Just imagine him stumbling into one of Olympus's many libraries while he's in America and meets Yan who's organising one of em)

So the events of ToA was about 6 months. Apollo and Meg were always on the move. They probably didn't have the time (or money for a hair cut)

Conclusion, end of ToA Lester has a mullet.

(Meg probably just gained a few centimetres, I imagine her hair in the Hidden Oracle to be somewhere between chin and shoulder length, so at the end of ToA to be around shoulder length or just a bit above)

Some recent sketches from the depth of my mine…

I`m alive! Life has just been a lot, as usual but I’m getting through it.

Some updates:

+ moved out recently! Never realised what getting my own actual space does for my mental house my apartment is a mess but it’s mine!!! I’m still in the middle of decorating it and getting it all set up, I’m not staying here that long since I’m moving back to Australia before the end of the year but until then this shall be my humble abode.

+ work has been as usual, I think I’ve reached a spot (or rather realised) that I have experience in teaching now and am not just a floundering newbie. It’s kinda surreal to realise how far I have come in the past year.

+ I went to Beijing last last week for the universal resort collab with genshin and it was very fun.

+ my contract finished end of July which means after I shall officially be free! I plan to dedicate all my time after to drawing and making stuff, very excited.

+ which means the comic telling the story of Phoebus and Amyclae will be coming out sometime this year! It shall be a coloured comic in a page by page format. I’m planning to release it in regular chunks but as I intend to finish most of act 1 before that happens, y’all are going to have to wait. Please look forward to when Earthbound Sun can finally be shared with the world :D

+ there are people I owe things to, you know who you are, please know that I still remember and those promises will be delivered…

Overall, still kinda hard to believe it’s been over a year now since I started this blog and gotten into ToA. Thank you Apollo fandom for the support lol.

Hyapollo visual novel but you play as Hyacinthus trapped on his last day alive (groundhog day/happy death day style) trying to find a way out.

Centering on how unpredicatble and unfair life can be, and that we always wish for more but cannot have it. That sometimes the most we can hope for is enough time to say 'I love you'. That despite the uncaringness of death, it is a welcome embrace at the end of the journey. To remember the joy that was had, rather than mourn the lost possibilities.

Another thing from the 'To hold up his mantle, to hold down the fort au'

This is specifically about my pjo OC Moly who got the domain of Sun and Light (they actually got possessed by their great grandpappy Helios in my rewrite of the Burning Maze so she has the disposition). Of course, that means a 12 year old has to drive the Sun Chariot.

Anyway, there are many other fun scenarios I want to doodle at some point, involving Cabin 7 interacting with various other gods and goddesses (Austin getting music, art, and culture lessons from the muses). Ascelepius, Will and Pranjal having a therapy circle over being head healers. Yan orgnanising the various olympus libraries, etc)

Also shout out to the ToA discord, we're currently working/brainstorming over this au together and it's so much fun/funny.
