My thoughts:
Just what I needed to soothe my hangover brain full of New year's mimosas. This was angsty and sweet. I loved it.

“Okay,” Bucky repeats, “it’s going to be okay,” and Sam believes him, because he knows that being Captain America will never be easy, that missions will go wrong and the world will see him and judge him, but he also knows that Bucky will never let him drown, and tonight, that’s enough to keep him going.
