      she can tell it’s her. ‘your sensitivity is your greatest strength’ jack always used to tell her, and yet now she almost wishes she couldn’t pick up on the UNIQUE energy signature that was her mother. she has no idea if she’s in a different universe or if this is just a version she hasn’t ENCOUNTERED yet, but either way, it hurts. still, she pastes on a smile and gives the woman a POLITE tap on the shoulder. ❝ river song ? ❞

I always love how creative you are - with your starters, with your verses, I’m always excited to see what situation you will be putting River in. Plotting with you, and just generally bouncing idea off you is always a pleasure.

You are hands down one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. You are endlessly supportive, you send me GA pictures and cute dog pictures, I just... I can’t say enough nice things about you. It was really awesome meeting you in New York, and I really hope we get to meet again (soon?ish?) because... yeah.

She’s sitting at the table, drinking coffee from his Star Wars mug when he comes down to the kitchen sleepy-eyed, clad only in the boxers and t-shirt that he slept in. The cold tiles under his bare feet don’t do much to wake him up, and he walks past her to the cupboards, only stopping to press a quick good morning kiss on the top of her head. 

It’s only later, when he’s almost through his hot chocolate and a bit more awake, that he ponders how strange it is to see Ophelia in this kitchen. He smiles. With both his moms here, the old Wyoming house is even more home than usual.

Will's opinion on Oph

Will always knew that he was adopted, and although he has often wondered about his birth parents, he was never truly bothered about it - curious, yes, but not bothered. And then he randomly met his birth mom and she’s this pretty cool film-maker, and did I mention she’s cool? 

He quickly got into the habit of calling her ‘Mom’, not because she gave birth to him but because he felt like it fit. He only uses Gwen and Oph’s names when talking to one about the other (”Hey, Mom, can Ophelia come over for my birthday?” “Mom, Gwen’s on the phone, she wants to talk to you”).

Will loves Ophelia. She’s his mother, just as much as Gwen is, and she may have missed several years of his life but what matters to him is that she’s here now and that she wants to be. He realises (or will come to realise) that there’s a lot that she isn’t telling him, and sometimes he worries about that, because he can see that there’s something bothering her and doesn’t know what and he doesn’t know how to make it better. 

It... feels weird at first when he realises his adoptive mom and his birth mom were lovers (i feel like, once she comes over right after Amy and Rory have ‘died’ it’s bound to come up?) but eventually he just hugs, one way or the other he still has his two moms, and he just wants them to be happy.

OMG WE NEED TO DO THAT. Not now, because we still need to fake-kill Amy and Rory for Will’s birthday, and because he’s still got a lot of stuff to do, but we should definitely regenerate him when he’s older. or skip to there and fill in later
