:: continued from this @xthecuriousonex <3 : Alice flitted about the diner, bouncing from table to table......
Rapunzel smiled very genuinely, and folded her hands neatly in front of her. How wonderful -- it seemed she’d gotten one of the nicest waitresses in the place. And she seemed to be someone who at least knew the faces around town. Gosh, a friend like that would be really amazing, thought the blonde. Not for any kind of manipluative method, of course not -- Rapunzel merely wanted as many friends as she could make. And someone who reconigzed faces would be the logical place to start when making friends, right? And this girl seemed very nice already!
She was getting far ahead of herself, but continued to smile. “Yeah, actually -- that’s right! I just moved here,” she said, her eyes sparkled with her words. Pitched perfectly, praticed almost her entire life. I just moved to town. I’m fixing up the old, run-down Italianate way way,far away on Corona County Road, almost outside of town? I like what I’ve seen of town so far -- it’s incredible?! Don’t mind the hair it’s quite manageable!
She’d been thinking of moments like these since childhood. She’d never had anyone to use them on before, of course. That woman would never have let her speak such nonsense, even if it had been pitched as a game, or something.
Rapunzel wanted to say it all -- she meant most of it very sincerely, after all. She was a bit too excited to share the enthusiam she felt towards BOUNDS BAY. She really had had a wonderful time at the festival and had learned a lot about real holiday traditions. But she decided to maybe stick more to the facts -- this was a cute diner, after all, not a talk show (which she also just found out about. You wouldn’t believe the number of interviews she’d seen)!
She nodded and grasped the cup, feeling the warmth in her hands. “I’m fixing the old house on Corona County Road -- it’s pretty run down so it needs a lot of work. I haven’t spent much time in town yet, but I really like what I’ve seen so far! Are you from here -- have you lived here your whole life?” Good, act like an out-of-towner. Nobody has to know you really grew up in the house, right? Rapunzel could totally do this. Keeping her childhood a secret couldn’t be that hard, right? Nobody asked about things like that except for people like her -- highly and overly inquisitive people! This would be fine. It’s all fine.
She kept the smile on her face. “The coffee here is amazing -- do you make it yourself or do you get it from somewhere?”
