July 4th wrap up (post #2)

So I didn't see despicable me II on July 4th as I previously mentioned. Instead I had lunch with my family and then went to the beach with my sister and one of my best friends (I have 3) one being my roommate who I've previously introduced as Tom and the other two we'll call Nick and Robert. So I went to the beach with Nick and my sister and it was the coolest thing ever! I had never seen fireworks on the beach and it was a blast. (I didn't mean to make that pun, but I'll keep it.) Anyways we hung there for quite a while and even found a court to play some basketball at which was a lot of fun.

What I liked the most was the long conversations I got to have with my sister on the way there and on the way back. Let's put it this way she has a lot to deal with and they just changed her meds to see if that will help. I pray for her all the time. She stresses about what she's going to do with the rest of her life and she looks purpose/meaning and isn't happy where she is in life right now. It makes things worse that her thoughts turn suicidal pretty often, but hopefully the meds will begin to help with that. I know God has a plan for her it's just a matter of time and I know she's dealing with all the mental issues for a reason. I know God is somehow going to use her negative experiences for good it's just a matter of when.

Anyways coming back from the beach I dropped my sister at home and then headed back to my place. On the way back I stopped at Anna's house and left her a little love note to find when she woke up to head to work today. :) 2.5 years together and I hope to always continue to be a romantic. I still open her car door pretty religiously and I'm all about the cute things I can do to make her day. Anyways very looking forward to our wedding on Feb 1st of next year. So that wraps up July 4th. :)

Hello World

Welcome to the Life of Mike. From the title of this post I hope that you can already tell that I'm a bit of a geek. :) It's 6:04pm EST the day before the 4th of July I'm sitting at work when I could have left 4 minutes ago. I decided earlier today that I wanted to go ahead and share my life with the internet, but in a somewhat anonymous way to get my feelings out there without anyone knowing. I'm sure a lot of the Tumblr community can resonate with that. Anyways there's a lot going on in the life of Mike, but let's start with a little bit about my background.

Hi I'm Mike. I'm 21 and engaged to a wonderful woman who is 18 (yes I know we're both young, in fact I just graduated with my bachelors in marketing and well she has just graduated HS and attained her AA at the same time.) She acts well above her age and I act below mine (in a social setting), but in the professional setting I would say that we both equate to late 20's mentally. We're both intelligent and do a great job for that company's we work with. 

I work for an Advertising Agency as a Marketing Manager and she is the Office Manager at a home for the mentally disabled. I currently lead a team of 2 on our outbound sales team and she oversees the house and turns chaos into organization. 

So that gives you a little bit of background about me and my fiancee and for future reference I will be referring to her as Anna.

Well I better get over to her place for dinner, but I'll be providing all of you Tumblr peeps more info on what's going on later.
