"In order to truly put your trust in God, you first have to admit your distrust."
"I dont always know what I want. Jesus help me to walk the path that is set before me. Help me through those times where I am forced to do the things that I dont want to do. I know that through these things I do not like, you can bring about things I will grow to love. Through the flames the silver is refined. And like the reflection of the refiner signals that the silver is complete, your reflection in me is what I yearn for….and that can only come through the flames."
"God you know the reason for every tear. You know the cause of every cry. And I choose to believe that with every occurrence of pain in this life, you have a purpose. A purpose to grow your nation and a purpose to heal the wounded. Please help me to remember that I can only see a very small piece of a very large puzzle."
Thank you God for pain so we can then feel healing. Thank you God for darkness so we can more appreciate the light. Thank you God for brokenness so you can put us back together even stronger. Thank you for the struggles and the ability to see that you always have a purpose.
"Prone to wander, Lord I feel it." Thank you Jesus that you are gracious enough to remind us when we are straying. Thank you Jesus that you give us the ability to look toward you and get our feet back on the path. And thank you Jesus that even though you know we will stray again, you keep on loving us anyway.
No power- from heaven or hell- can rip us from God's hand. His steadfast LOVE endures FOREVER. Woah. Like seriously? Just think about that. And then think some more. Do not be surprised if your mind gets blown away during your thinking process.
How many of us are waiting to make a change? How many of Gods people are waiting to be "better" in order to further His kingdom? How can today be made better if we are focused on improving tomorrow? Why wait to make an impact when we have been given today to encourage, to grow, to love, and to breathe life into? God has made us to touch lives. When contemplating changing the world don't focus on your weaknesses and inabilities but rather his power and the never ending supply of grace that he supplies.
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:17-18
So powerful!
