I grew up an only child, and it wasn’t until I was 8 yrs old that I was told that I had half-brothers and a half-sister...our family dynamic was laced with silent love, but that didn’t work for me...I’m a bit of an opinionated loud-mouth 😏 . As a girl in America, I grew up with vain competition where “winning” (the attention, the boy, the grades) would only bring a fleeting feeling of acceptance and love.
