Panama City Beach is infamous for being the spring break capital of the south.
The lifestyle of locals tends to focus on partying and getting high as often as possible.
Ask anyone who has grown up there, and they will tell you the only way to get ahead in life is to move far away from PCB.
Even though it's hard to be a responsible adult there (obviously, that's if your friends aren't great influences), the city itself is beautiful. When the beach isn't covered in trash left behind by tourists, it is some of the most breathtaking scenery around.
The landmark case of Gideon v. Wainwright (right to counsel) happened in Panama City in 1963.
The area is often referred to as the "redneck riviera".
Pink: 4 facts about my parents.
My mom & dad met at a toga party in Panama City Beach. My dad crushed a beer can on his head, split his forehead open, and wrote "AC/DC RULES" with his blood on his toga to impress my mom. They started dating soon after. I can't make this shit up lol.
My dad owns his own TV repair business, but has always been a rock musician. I grew up listening to his friends practicing out in the shed and they play at local bars a lot. He also used to surf all the time, and he was pretty damn good.
They weren't the most responsible parents when I was growing up, but their mistakes taught me a good bit about life & how important it is to make good decisions and put my child first.
My mom & dad are now my best friends and it absolutely kills me to live so far away from them.
