i’ve made the executive decision that c!pearl can never find pants tall enough for her. all of her jeans are a good three inches short. borderline capris. girl is 6’ smth and all leg. she’s half a mind to weave her own goddamn denim to make her own jeans bc she LOVES the jean almost covering your shoe vibe but cannot find (this is self projection)

i think my favorite thing to plan into mcyt cosplays is a visible inventory element
like obviously i can’t fit seven stacks of cobble in the satchel bag that i have across my body or strapped to my leg but i can carry my silly things and it makes sense that the characters would have some way of carrying things other than it becomes part of their soul lmao, plus it’s a super fun way to characterize
for example i’m planning vsmp!cleo and vsmp!pearl, and i’m using those renaissance belts that there’s four hundred different things on etsy meant to be looped on it (yk what i mean like the potion bottles and sword frogs and pouches and such) and i’m doing cleo’s brown, because brown accents make sense, and pearls is black, because that’s what makes sense. cleo will have bottles of crimson (likely going to be purple and red gatorade, grenadine, and edible red glitter) on theirs, along with an almost purse sized hanging bag, a smaller pouch more like a coin purse, possibly a skirt hike or two, and a sword frog for the sword i’m making for her (weapon personalizing will be a different ramble). pearl will have her very different sword, maybe one bottle of holy water (sprite with maybe some iridescent edible glitter), and an extra dagger because why not. everything for cleo will probably look a little more well loved, versus pearl who will have her stuff looking clean and well taken care of.
like they’re not details that will be hugely noticed, but that’s the goal. i love the little details that just add something to it that doesn’t involve me doing four hundred extra crafts but bring something more visual to the project and make things feel very realistically in character. plus, i’d need to carry a phone, a wallet, and other essentials with me at a convention, so might as well make it immersive if i can :D
