What's the dilute version of amber called? Is it like blue amber or something? Does it look cream or something else?
Also amber tortoiseshell must have different shades of orange? Or just one shade?
I wonder If kopal, russet, and phoenix can be tortie too?
I'm afraid the most accepted name for it is just "light amber". (I've also seen it being called "blue amber", usually contrasted to "brown amber".) It looks like this:
Tabby and solid light amber from the Chênes d'Or cattery
Adult amber torties... well, i've never had one in my hands, but on pictures i can't really differentiate between their colors (except of course on the nose of the solids). This is an amber tortie tabby:
I'm sure copals and russets can be torties as well, but i have to admit, i've never seen one. Phoenix on the other had, it's an exciting question, because several of the female phoenixes i've seen are brindled phoenix and red, like a tortie (phoenix taking the place of black), and I've been told black-phoenix torties also exist.
