Question about wish light:

Does the name wishlight mean that we can grand wishes or that peopel wish for soemthing when seeing us?

Questions swarmed Logan's mind. The most important one right now though seemed:

"You are called Wishlights? Is this due to an ability to grant a wish? Or do people make wishes upon seeing you?"

There was warm amusement in the queen.

"Neither, and both. We are born from people's truest wish. When the one who made us finds us we can help them in making that wish come true," she explains.

"Then who's wish are you?" Roman asked eagerly.

"I dont know. And I cannot tell you what wish I am either. I must protect my dreamer, as we all do. Wishes can be used against people. And sometimes even well meant meddling can have bad consequences."

The crown prince thinks about that for a moment. "Are there bad wishes?" He asked.

The queen thinks for a moment. "There can be. I never met one myself. But I suppose someone who is truly, irrecoverable wicked can have a sinister wish as his true wish. Most people though want good things, even if that want is buried under anger and pain. This is true for all. Know that if you were to look for your light, and I cant promise that they are here, you might not find what you expect. And not everyone is ready to face that truth when they find it."

"What happens when your wish is fulfilled?" Logan asked intrigued.

"Some become stars some remain to carry the next wish. I have carried many wishes. For that I am queen of this constellation."

All you lights glow proudly to show off just hownumerous you are.

Drip drip drip

Foxy’s ears twitched as the echo of the water dripping drummed on in the background. It was much brighter down in his “home” than usual, louder too. A droning buzz threatened to drown out the rhythmic drips of the stalactites he had grown to find comforting.

Foxy padded through the cavern under the Plex. He’d been down there for nearly a year now, avoiding the amalgamation lurking near the run down site in a remote section of the cavern. Life down in the forgotten cavern was rough, lonely, and unrewarding. But he went through anyways, no matter how much he wanted to give up.

Shards of a mirror littered the ground in front of a small section of the wall covered in static, glowing brighter than the fluorescent lights aboveground. Foxy bent over to grab one of the biggest shards left, wanting it so he could fix up his makeup. The droning buzz was nearly deafening at that point.

With ears pinned against his head, Foxy shoved the mirror shard into his pocket, surprised that the once hot to the touch mirror could grow cold after breaking. He realized how hot he was as the buzzing swelled with the brightening light. A drowned out growl rumbled in his throat.

Foxy stepped back from the swelling static, tail lashing behind him. He picked up the brick he used to break the mirror and hurtled it at the static.

“OH SINK ME YE DIRTY SON O A BITCH,” he shouted, fur rising at the brick being swallowed by the buzzing static. He whipped around and lunged at the pillar to hide behind.

Foxy stared at the static, his low growl blending in with the torrent of noise in front of him. His boring life was changing all over again, sparking a light of hope in him again.

What happens to wishlights if the wisher gives up on their wish?

A shudder goes through the queen.

"Truly giving up on a wish rarely happens dear. Wishes can change without being fulfilled though. But if a creature that can hope and dream gives up on hope so completely that there is no wish left in their heart... I've only heard legend of that.

Wishes sometimes get passed on to others when the wisher thinks they cant see them through.

But to truly despair and fully abandon hope beyond recovery?

They say the wish light would dim and if the wisher passes on without finding hope again, they are said to pull back at the soul and create ghosts.

That sometimes still happens if the wisher passes in still having hope but those spirits are friendlier and much more common. They linger until the wish is passed on to someone new somehow, in which case the wish will emerge with an existing light. Or until the wish is fulfilled and becomes a star."
