Braiding my Iridessa doll’s hair inspired me to draw this

Going through my unfinished Disney Fairies drawings I found one that was finished years ago, but never posted, so why the heck not do that now. There was never an occassion to do so anyway, so might as well just do that

I liked to compare Iridessa’s early outfit with Fira’s, and found the similarities kinda interesting. Before it was redesigned, it would seem that light-talent fairies (at least the major ones) might have a dress code (still, probably similarities are just accidental, but was a kinda fun idea? I don’t know, I drew this 4 years ago, ok?)

But then again, in the movies, the talents do have a dress code (and I really wanna finally finish that other dress code drawing that I had in mind)

Poland does this mostly for live action movies, but honestly nowadays most times it's close to the original. You mostly see it in 80s and 90s movies, and ofc I've got some nice animation examples- "The brave little toaster"- "The big five" (only on VHS and uncut DVDs tho- it got published with a magazine later where some stuff was cut and the title was changed back to normal) "Frozen"- "Land of ice" (the idea wouldn't have worked tho because gendered adjectives) and "A Nightmare before Christmas

"- "Halloween Town" which makes NO freaking sense bc a Disney Channel movie called Halloweentown came out like 5 years later and Tim Burton movies are now mostly distributed by Disney, so... yeahh

Hungary does with various movies, I think depends who makes the script for he dub or what dubbing studio or what channel they are made for.

You're welcome! I just happen to be an animation nerd. :P also in Italy the title is Oceania but the main character is Vaiana, obviously more due to that first reason, and whenever the movie is shown in English in Europe the name is re-recorded so the title will make sense! :)

OH, yeah, some countries like to rename movies... and many times, Hungary does that too! but of course the renames are making sense and sometimes even better then the original. Or not.

The thing with Moana being switched to Vaiana happens in all of Europe for two reasons: 1. there was an Italian porn star named Moana Pazzi (eww) and bc it's animated they really, REALLY didn't want anyone to come across something by her by accident and 2. it also is a brand name somewhere. Vaiana just... sounded better while still keeping that Polynesian element. (Here in Poland it's "Vaiana: Ocean Treasure" which sounds a bit childish but kinda makes sense with the plot.)
