That does remind me though, with Sylvia's backstory being revealed as a former bounty hunter and that whole thing of Ford having wanted posters throughout the multiverse... What if Wander hadn't met Ford, but Sylvia had during her bounty hunting days and he slipped through the cracks? (not gonna lie, that's probably going to be included in the second part of my WoY GF Inter-dimensional Introductions fic)

*woy spoilers* I was so up for immortal wander before the ending part but I thought that planetary convergence was in another galaxy (the comment about "that's just what they call me in this galaxy") so it wasn't actually 1000 years ago? maybe like 10 or 20? I mean major threat is older but still kicking too. That's how I rationalized it. The other option is he's a fuzzy time lord and just hasn't regenerated yet.

Legit possibility! But who even knows the rules for that. What’s the natural age for something like Major Threat, who looks like a PG version of Cthulhu? Maybe he’s a thousand years old too.

I don't know of you caught it on the journal page with the Category One ghost, but Ford refers to himself as a man in this thirties. Meaning that Stan and Ford have been apart for 12+ years and that the accident happened after their thirtieth. Also puts them at early to mid-60's by now. Thoughts? Also thinking about how Stan probably spent his 30th alone in his car (or with Rick getting up to some sort of shenanigans to make him not think about it). Hope your work week went well & Happy Easter!

I mean, the timeline from AToTS puts them at 56-58. Stan says that he’s “pushing 70″ in DaMvtF and now Ford claims to be in his thirties during a time when the AToTS timeline would put him in his mid to late twenties. 

That’s putting aside how Stan was always portrayed as much older than his canon age, and ambiguous and uncertain it is how long Ford was at school. (He says he got his PhD three years ahead of schedule, a PhD takes more than 8 years on average to earn, in AToTS it says he and Stan were apart for ten years which would imply he was in Gravity Falls for about five years but APPARENTLY they were apart for longer and oh lord I’ve gone crosseyed.)

I have officially given up on trying to figure out a consistent timeline for these two, because the writers of the show clearly didn’t care about the timeline. That’s not a complaint, by the way--they were interested in telling a story and keeping continuity wasn’t as important as that. Those are good priorities. I’m just saying there’s no point in trying to figure out a consistent canon timeline when it’s clear there just isn’t one there to find.
