Guess who my favourite Red Rising character is 😶
"Sketch" version under the cut because somehow this got away from me and I like the earlier version better? 😅
Returning to Tyria (Again!)
So, it's been a while since I last played Guild Wars 2, and I started feeling the itch to start playing again and jumping back into Nameless Higanbana's story, so I thought I'd start by doing some fanart! I was going to draw Nameless in the forests of Caledon, but seeing as the last time I played, she was journeying into the heart of Orr, I thought I'd draw her there instead!
As a bit of a Recap, Nameless Higanbana, Revenant of the Sylvari Grove, set out in her journey across Tyria, aiding the less fortunate folks of the realm and piecing together her purpose. Joining the Order of Whispers under Tybalt Leftpaw, she rooted out the dark secrets plaguing the human city of Divinity's reach, upending the political machinations of the Beetlestone Patriarch. She and Tybalt grew close, becoming akin to siblings. However, shortly after achieving the rank of Lightbringer, she was involved in the invasion of Claw Island, losing Tybalt to the undead minions of the dragon, Zhaitan.
Teaming up with other members of the Order, as well as the Sylvari firstborn Trahearne, Nameless was instrumental in bringing together the disparate peoples across the three orders of Tyria, leading to the formation of The Pact. Together, the joint Orders of Tyria banded together and forged deep into the heart of Orr, seat of power of the undead, hoping to free the land of the threat of the dragon Zhaitan... @guildwars2
the energy between darrow and cassius is literally
“i hate you so much i think about you constantly.
“you’ve ruined my life but also i’d die for you.”
“we sword fight like it’s foreplay.”
“we stand two inches apart, breathing heavily, and yet nothing happens.”
they’re the blueprint for toxic soulmates. the betrayal? the longing? the dramatic speeches about honor and love cloaked in subtext? it’s giving shakespearean tragedy with a dash of repressed feelings.
cassius calling darrow “my friend” while looking at him like he’s the moon and stars? darrow sparing cassius over and over because “he deserves better”? their ENTIRE arc in morning star? please. these two are not straight. pierce brown, explain yourself
Your honor they are idiots and i love them
Dany Targaryen who cannot have her own biological children but when she liberates Westeros she adopts so many orphans. She DOES break the wheel, she restores peace and even though she has lost people close to her, it doesn't stop her from loving her subjects.
She especially has a soft spot for women and children. She makes sure the children she rules over are always fed, with proper clothes and shoes.
They are all given a choice of schooling, boys and girls alike, children from all classes, cultures and backgrounds.
There is no more Iron Throne because Drogon still melted it down. Maybe her reign does begin with ashes ... but like a phoenix, her people rise.
Or is immediately freaked out by the sudden transformation of Simon’s arms. It passes him some bandages. Other than that it has no idea how to help.
Please don’t die please don’t die-
- @l1l-l1ght
[Simon takes the bandages, but instead of just wrapping his arms like a normal person, he uses the fabric to mop up the pus-plasma-blood mixture that's slowly drying on his face - he's used to the blood by now, but something about the sour smell of that substance so close to his nose is more sickening than the constant stench of iron, and he wants it off. He's not sure what to actually do about Or's upset though, especially since he can still feel his own panic roiling underneath a thick barrier of hazy dullness, his hands still shaking furiously and his breath harsh in his chest.]
Not fuckin' going anywhere yet, chill out.
[He mutters awkwardly, fiddling with the now-soiled bandages in his grip, his voice low and hoarser still, now, from the alcohol.]
