“I feel like we take light globes for granted.”
I’m filled to the brim with affection for an enchantress who exists entirely of sunbeams. Sometimes I feel my soul swaying to the songs of her smile, and when she speaks the words wash over me like warm milk; so fluid, so subtle, so warm. Mesmerising. She is a soft touch and a sweet whisper — the most charming woman that I’ve ever seen, spoken to, dreamed of.
Sometimes I breathe out into to the dark sky, pleading with the breeze to carry my secrets to her empty hands, and the crescent moon watches on every evening as I fall further into fascination. To be blessed by the presence of an unworldly entity is one thing, but to burst with an affection that will never be returned is a sensation like no other, isn’t it? It’s safe to say that I’m captivated, but alas, the coquette is golden and I’m nothing more than a shadow thirsting to kiss her aura and taste the light.
