I'm still on a high from this movie. And I'm actually quite proud of this one! I'm still so infinitely glad this movie had a happy ending because I've seen so many LGBT films/shorts that do not end well. so HOORAY!

I don’t even remember how but I stumbled across this Dutch coming of age LGBT+ movie called Young Hearts about a week ago. It’s a super sweet story about a boy called Elias who finds himself falling in love with his new neighbour Alexander and suddenly has to confront all these new feelings. Alexander meanwhile doesn’t care what anyone else thinks of him and is comfortable in who he is, which I found super refreshing. Of course there are ups and downs in the movie but it’s mostly feel good and so, SO well acted by the young cast. It’s also the most uplifting, happy ending I’ve seen in such a long time. Also the soundtrack is incredible, give it a listen on Spotify!
Anyway I decided to draw one of the end scenes and it took me ages because I wanted to be absolutely sure I was happy with it. This movie gave me such joy thank you to all who were involved with it 💖💖 Liefde wint 🏳️🌈

Still can't get over THAT scene so I had to draw it hahaaaa
I was yelling at the screen telling Max to run for her life, to her friends. I’ve never had such a reaction at a scene before in my LIFE.
