The fact is, no matter how many times someone holds a lighter under your foot, it's always always going to hurt as much as the first time. Even if you knew it was coming. You got a big ole campfire under your feet right now, girl. Until it simmers down and you can take a step away from it, you've got good friends whose hands you can squeeze and whose ears you can shout expletives to while it all goes down. Then later when you need some ice, a good chat, and some candy (the blue and orange kind) they got you. And they'll help you limp around until you're all good and healed up. Nobody can prevent the flame, sometimes it's just gonna happen. There's a ton you can learn from that, but also don't be afraid to lean on the people standing around you with their arms up, okay?
