lightsurvived asked: “ are you really happy now ? ”
“ Yeah, of course. Why wouldn’t I be? ” Maybe it wasn’t a question he should have added onto the end of a total lie but he couldn’t wholesomely tell the truth without everything else completely unravelling. In a way, he had everything he needed. A good friend, someone that would stay by his side no matter what. He was free, away from his family. And he was exonerated from every little crime that detailed around his existence. So he should have been happy.
But he wasn’t, not in the slightest. As a cliche as it was, he was lost. He was scared. And second guessing every little thing he’d done. He could have been human. His Mother would still be by his side, letting him live the life he wanted without pushing the lust of blood that taunted his mind at every waking minute.
Instead, he’d lost that. He’d lost his mother, his little sister George. Everything that made him human, that gave him hope. it was all lost...and here he was, stuck with what it meant now that he was one hundred percent monster. Every day, he wanted to scream. He felt like pulling the skin from his body. Nothing was right, nothing felt okay. He was stuck with a destiny he tried to ignore, excuse, thinking he’d been chosen to bring peace but when had vampires ever campaigned for peace? He could hear the Grand High Vampires words still swimming around in his mind ‘there’s evil in you’, ‘you can’t escape your destiny Vlad’ and no matter how hard he tried to deny it, his destiny still stood. Nothing would change that...and now, he had nothing to help him fight it.
No friends. No family. No humanity. You’re all alone.
