Questions About Lily’s Sexuality

Thanks for the ask. I posted it because I’m not worried about antis. I’m confident in my research, we are just here to have fun, and we have a good community of people who want to talk all things gaylor. I have not encountered any antis directly on the blog or in my asks except for one fervent Kaylor fan who has been harmless. I like Kaylor by the way and think that both Kaylor and Tily could have happened. They don’t negate each other or interfere with each other if you believe a realistic Kaylor timeline. On to your questions about Lily . . . and an update at the end.

Lily is Bi / Some Form of Queer / Label Free

Let’s start with Lily’s interviews about Rihanna. They predate their hookup/fling/situation. Lily openly expressed her huge and lasting crush on Rihanna several times in print interviews. This alone proves some form of queer. We’ll go further, but this answers the question of whether she’s straight.

Lily also posted about her being fruity, liked posts that tagged her about being label free (and used a picture of her) and supported gay rights/marriage equality without ever calling herself an ally. She posted with rainbows and wearing rainbows more than usual in 2016/2017. She makes the V sign around her mouth or other p***y licking signs in photos often. It’s the most I’ve ever seen from anyone.

Lily / Rihanna

Check the Rihanna or Lihanna tag on the blog. I’ve posted about this a considerable amount beyond what’s on L Chat. They most likely had something. The infamous pic touching Rihanna in the club during Paris fashion week, the report of them making out at a party (from someone credible who posted under his real name), following Rihanna around for about 6 months across the country, etc.

Lily/Rihanna happened at the end of or after Cyprien, Lily’s boyfriend from 2013-2015. Cyprien does not “debunk” Tily (sorry to the few Taylor/Joe blogs I’ve seen say this). They don’t overlap at all and Lily was not seen with him after 2015. I’ll even give you a visit to his country in early 2016 with her friends but there’s literally nothing after that. Cyprien ending by early 2016 and Rihanna ending after Coachella/LA in Spring 2016 give us the lead up to Taylor/Lily during Taylor’s chaotic Spring/Summer of 2016 and then the Tily Autumn.

The New York Crew

Lily has been a part of a known group of NYC/European lesbian and bi women for the past several years. It’s mentioned on the L Chat and is well-documented on Instagram. I’ve posted about it a bit on the blog and have received submissions from anons who know this info too. I also know she’s in the group because I know someone who dated one of her friends in the group. When her friends wanted to see her during the Tily years, they had to go to London because she wasn’t in NYC anymore. (Part of the extensive proof that Lily moved to London when Taylor said she moved there with her London lover). My personal head canon is that Lily tried to find someone in the wealthy lesbian/bi women group, then tried it with Rihanna, tried it with Taylor (and tried to get Taylor to come out/commit a bit), then when that didn’t work out took the path of least resistance to a well off life by hooking up with a billionaire who she knew liked her.

Freja / Gemma / Models Thread

Lily’s rumors with out lesbian model Freja are from the L Chat. They hung out a lot outside of work for a few years before Cyprien.

I saw some early Tily fans mention Gemma but I haven’t found anything regarding her and Lily that would make me think they were more than friends but I haven’t looked at Lily much during the aughts. If I find something, I’ll post it, but Gemma is not important to Lily’s sexuality or relationships.

The Models thread on L Chat has their favorites and that’s fine. They didn’t keep up with Lily on that thread. Lily was posted about elsewhere on L Chat where the general consensus is bi. Funnily, the one time Lily got mentioned on the Models thread they thought she had something with Karlie based on this night :

Polo Club / Country Club St. Tropez

What Taylor and Lily had together was fun while it lasted and we can look back on it with fondness. It was a good two years, maybe a bit more. It’s most likely been over since 2019. Lily went off social media in January 2020, deleted the “AT” and ♥️ emoji from her birthday post for Taylor right before Miss Americana and The Man were released, and headed off to the modeling industry’s retirement life - the girlfriend and likely baby mama for a billionaire, a man about 6 times richer than Taylor. Lily was recently tagged by the social account for his polo club in St. Tropez (no photos of her) as presumably at one of the events a few weeks ago. Alshair was tagged also as were a bunch of rich dudes who won some polo cup. The photos of Alshair’s polo and country club on this account look exactly like the scene described in “Cowboy Like Me,” with Lily likely telling the rich people what they want to hear. It would be nice if she came back to the fashion world, even if not to model, but I don’t begrudge her the life she chose.

The ironic part of the Polo Club St. Tropez is Lily first went there on July 19, 2016. I posted about that date in my “Cruel Summer” post.

That was the first day of Leo’s gala and the yacht everyone was on was Alshair’s. That was presumably when Lily first met Alshair. There are videos of her riding horses at the Polo Club on 7/19, so either she mentioned it or Alshair knew she liked horses and set it up for her to ride there during the Leo’s gala trip. Fast forward 5 years - Tily is over and Lily is the likely girlfriend of the billionaire owner of the polo club.

2015

February - Taylor, Lily, and Calvin attend the Brit Awards and Fund Fair. Taylor meets Calvin for the first time. Taylor follows Lily on Twitter after the Fund Fair. (See here and here for more analysis and photos.)

Sept. - Joan is Lily’s wing woman at Rihanna’s NY fashion week party at New York Edition.

Lily has a blast at Rihanna’s party.

October - Lily and Rihanna hang out (per photos) and make out (per reports) at Paris fashion week. (See here for photos.)

Halloween - Lily goes to Rihanna’s Halloween party in LA. A photo is taken of Rihanna and is posted to Lily’s Instagram but is later removed. A make up artist comments on the photo that he saw Lily and Rihanna make out at a party during Paris fashion week.

2016

January 27, 2016 - probably coincidental but Rihanna’s ANTI album is leaked on Lily’s birthday.

January 28, 2016 - Rihanna’s ANTI album is released and contains the song “Pose,” which has a British reference and may be about a British model. See lyrics below.

February - Lily and Rihanna are both at the Brit Awards.

February - Taylor and Lily attend the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in LA. (See here for photos and analysis.)

March - Adwoa is Lily’s wing woman at Rihanna’s Brooklyn ANTI concert where they are in the VIP section.

April - Adwoa is Lily’s wing woman at Coachella. Taylor is also at Coachella. Calvin finishes his song with Rihanna at Coachella, “This is What You Came For,” which Taylor will reveal in a few months she wrote. This starts the first round of snakegate when Calvin’s fans get upset at Taylor. Taylor and Rihanna hug and chat backstage. The media starts reporting that Tayvin may break up. Coachella is the last time Lily and Rihanna are in the same place until Rihanna’s Fenty Paris fashion week show in 2017 that Lily walks. Lily goes to Las Vegas with Adwoa and Derek after Coachella but leaves before Rihanna’s show there.

June 1 - media reports that Tayvin broke up.

June 19 - Joan is Lily’s wing woman for a work/fun trip to Nashville. Taylor is in Nashville with Tom. Lily does some sexy snapchats from Nashville. Lily films Joan singing “Wildest Dreams.” Joan posts it to Instagram and tags Taylor and Lily. (See here for photos and analysis.)

June 24 - Lily is at Glastonbury with Cara and Suki. Rihanna is in London for a show at Wembley. Taylor is also in the UK.

2017

“SONGS TAYLOR LOVES” SPOTIFY PLAYLIST

Rihanna made the list twice, including “Kiss It Better.” (Link). “Hand under my sweatshirt, baby kiss it better” from Cardigan?

“End Game” - I still like the line “you like the bad ones too” as a possible reference to Lily/Rihanna in “End Game,” given all the other Lily references and connections in the music video (even though Taylor may not have written most of the lyrics for the song).

ANALYSIS

The entire 2016 year is so interesting in the Taylor/Gaylor/Lily/Tily worlds. I find it interesting that both Tayvin and Lily/Rihanna end whatever is going on between them around the same time in the Spring. Within a few weeks, Lily is in Nashville tagging Taylor and within a few months Tily is suddenly close and frequently together. As I’ve said before, I don’t think the Tily Autumn and the following years (and songs and albums) sprung up out of nowhere.

Both Rihanna and Taylor have sang Rihanna’s hit song “Umbrella.” Here’s Lily underneath their umbrellas. 😂

Have you ever listened to Taylor’s live performances of This is What You Came For? both her piano and guitar versions sound so sad. I‘m wondering if maybe she wrote it about Lily & Rihanna, with a tinge of jealousy that Lily was looking at Rihanna.

TIWYCF was released on April 29, 2016. I’m not sure when it was written but according to TMZ and elsewhere, the official story is that Taylor wrote the lyrics and original music by herself on the piano and made a voice memo that she sent to Calvin. It’s believed that sometime after that Taylor and Calvin recorded it in the studio with Taylor singing and Calvin producing. Then of course at some point Rihanna was brought on (she had collaborated with Calvin before) and it wasn’t going to be Taylor singing. Nils the pseudonym was born, etc. One internet theory is that Tayvin broke up (whatever you believe of their relationship) because Calvin denied discussing collaborating with Taylor in a radio interview shortly before the media reported the split on June 1, 2016. The theory goes that Taylor thought he would give her credit for the song at some point, but when it became clear he was going to take all the credit publicly, she ended it.

“Lightning strikes”

Fans have speculated that “lightening strikes every time she moves and everybody’s watching her” refers to a model on the runway or red carpet or Taylor when she performs. It could be either. The official story is it’s about a hot girl dancing on the dance floor.

With the song being written sometime while Tayvin was ongoing in 2015 or early 2016, the song likely is not about Lily. It is a funny coincidence though that Lily was hooking up with Rihanna while Tayvin was happening then Calvin and Rihanna did this song that Taylor wrote and it was finished at Coachella that both Taylor and Lily attended. And then of course Tily.

As far as why Taylor may look sad in the performances above, I don’t think she was unhappy in late 2016/early 2017. The Lover Diary says she was very happy during this time (whether you attribute it to Lily, Joe, or both). She may have been a bit sad about whatever happened with Calvin and playing the song reminded her of it. In any event, I don’t think Tayvin was that significant of a relationship for her whatever it was.
