DRAMATIC AND PROTECTIVE / @liightaga / NO LONGER ACCEPTING ! "They're all afraid of me."

LINK DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY . the concept of a beast born from the ' darkness ' of a heart was hard enough to wrap his head around . it sounded in some ways like the MIASMA that covered hyrule in patches , or the malice that swamped the divine beasts . evil and oppressive . nothing at all like sora , who smiled readily , and always had something fun up his sleeve .

NO , SORA WAS NOT EVIL . link had faced evil . he had stared it down while plunging his blade into the eyes of guardians . he had swallowed its STENCH while it fed on the rotted corpses of heroes . whatever sora thought of the darkness in his own heart , sora's RAGE and PAIN did not make him evil . it just made sora feel a little more human .

❝ . . . i'm . . . sorry that happened to you , ❞ link said finally , feeling around the syllables AWKWARDLY . he shifted his weight , laced his fingers together , and pulled his knee to his chest . ❝ but even if it did happen . . . you know it's — that's not who you really are , right ? ❞

SORA SHOULD KNOW THAT . or at least , link hoped he did . so often times , link felt as though they were cut from two different cloths . he couldn't always see things the way sora did . being around him was like basking in the sun sometimes . remnants of their cursed selves lingered in the back of link's mind , reminding link of all of the ways neither one of them were perfect . STILL . SORA HAD BROKEN FREE FIRST . and still , for once it seemed that link was the only one who could see the scope of this clearly .

⚔️ // "how are you faring back there , sora?" byleth asked , twisting in the saddle to catch a glimpse of the young boy . the two were on something of a self - appointed mission : finding a sunbeam cerdae for a gift of sora's making . they'd decided to traverse the valley on horseback , and as their blue roan trotted through the fields , byleth was even more certain than before they would manage to find their quarry . after all , it was a wonderful day for an expedition .

There are so many people's voices calling out to Luna. She can hear one in particular that's nearby. Luna, who's hidden in Fanela field's can hear the concern and worry in his voice. Biting down on her inner cheek, Luna decides that she'll show herself. He may be the first she deliberately shows herself to him.

"Sora."

And he is the LAST person she wants to worry. A hand reaches to grab hold of her other arm as she stands there.

"I'm okay. So...so you don't have to keep looking for me."

"Why Is The Sea So Salty? Because You City Folk Pee Whenever You Go Swimming!"

It's been what, nearly a week? Badou's taken his time digging around, seeing how far the island goes, and if there's anything fishy to see. Apparently, the fishiest thing around is the ocean! It's a lot wider than Badou ever thought it'd be, even in books.

The salty sea breeze stings his eye a little, and the sun's rays sure are cheery sprinkling down on the sand. There are people frolicking in the waves, collecting shells along the beach.

And here Badou is, a Vision in his long coat and boots. Not the best gear for frolicking, either.

*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧ FAWN WAS GEARED UP in her best winter-wear. cotton and feather down lined the inside of her maple-leaf coat dress , and she had PLENTY of supplies tucked securely away in her satchel. charcoal sticks and a leaflet book , with all of the notes of moss-ification symptoms at the ready. and now , standing on the shoulder of SORA , surely then there was nothing fawn couldn't be ready for.

from what sora had said , the moss was coming from somewhere underground. so if they wanted answers , underground is just where they'd have to go. . . . but her wings still fluttered nervously beneath her coat as fawn looked at the creepy dark blankets of moss leading straight into an even SPOOKIER human building.

but then she thought of her animal friends , some of which had been scared half to death by larger-than-life frights and others who couldn't get a wink of sleep at night. that alone was enough for fawn to square her shoulders , and slide down sora's arm until she'd come to a stop in the palm of his hand.

New worlds, new homes, new things to figure out. Donald was as crafty as they came (not so much because he wanted to be, as much as they had to be), and yet everything always came so much harder for one reason or another.

At least some things were the same, like this new phone! Ran faster than anything he had back home really, but he was bound to lose it at some point. The first thing to do would be to back it up.

His housekey had said he was given a place in Seaside Province. Though it took him time to find the location regardless, he'd made it down to the streets of the area, searching for his.

He was getting pretty distracted, looking from his phone to the numbers on the doors. But soon enough, he was at the right place!

⚔️ // be it by a pronounced sense of hyper-vigilance , or simply mere curiosity , it was the tell-tale THWACK and CLACK of weapon-against-wood that had drawn byleth near. just beyond the fanalean fields , in a clearing tucked away , she spotted the culprit of the noise: SORA. it seemed to byleth that was was deeply invested in some kind of training.

though ... she'd never seen a SWORD with a three-pronged blade before.

... it was an .... interesting .... choice.

deciding to hang back in the shadow of the overgrowth , byleth merely watched him perform his mid-training drills. he was heavy on his feet. his stance not quite up to par. more than that , even against a training block of wood , he charged forward RECKLESSLY.

eventually , when sora had TIRED HIMSELF enough to catch his breath , byleth emerged from the shadows behind him.

"– pardon my intrusion,' she said , raising a hand in greeting. "i wanted to say hello , but you seemed to be in deep focus."

"Boys Have A Weird Ritual That Makes Them Think They Turn Into Men When They Touch A Frog"

The first few reports and mumblings of the moss don't worry Badou at first. He's not a nature guy, and doesn't even watch the Discovery Channel unless he's super bored, so he didn't think a genuine Problem could arise like this. He should have watched more X-Files, basically.

Labs are easy enough to sneak into, reports and charts prime real estate, and everyone's too terrified and focused to notice a one-eyed redhead snooping about. He's on his way back with a scarf wrapped around his face, futilely, if his stormy mood and his findings are anything to go by, when he cuts through an alley he frequents, only to stop at the turned back of a familiar form.

Haunched over some moss in the dark.

Huffing, he saddles over to Sora and prods him in the behind with a boot.

"The hell are you doing?"
