the more i think about it the more mad i am except i'm not actually mad i'm just really disappointed. i am clinging to sunglasses at night. what the fuck happened.
#i think a lot of it is the dissonance between the album and the aesthetic/everything about how it was suggested to be#if the album sounded more like AOTD i'd be far happier but it just doesn't#AND THE LYRICS OH MY GOD THE FUCKING LYRICS#idk what happened to chris on this album but his writing quality really fucking dipped I'M SORRY#if you have to hand hold your audience through the point you want to make then you're effectively calling them stupid and showing distrust#also don't even get me started on blood pact#playing god i love but it's so heavy handed why are you making COREY TAYLOR scream 'hot take' you have COREY TAYLOR#aotd i don't mind the lyrics because that one seems genuinely heartfelt and is clearly an extension of love to the fans#like 570#but like chris come on man what the fuck happened#also don't get mad on twitter because 'fans need to relisten without expectations' YOU SET THOSE EXPECTATIONS UP#anyway#mama :(
