i think i just cracked something open cause im migrating my movie collection from plex to jellyfin cause you basically have to pay to use plex now allegedly........ and now i have to edit all the metadata for each movie that jellyfin auto downloaded from tmdb (and rewrite from scratch in the cases of some opera and ballet recordings that dont have database pages like anywhere) and normally this would hit like a party drug but the jellyfin metadata ui is so fucking annyoing BUT i just learned about .nfo files which were a thing created by 2000s movie piraters to keep metadata consistent and oooohhhh the premise of being able to micromanage my own film metadata using my own schema that i made up in my head that stays consistent with the file across platforms ooohhh yummy yummy delicious........

but the problem is like ok i love cataloging and ive done a lot of it by this point but like . how do i prove this to a hiring committee without being like yeahhh im proficient in film cataloging because of um so have you ever head of an .nfo file i mean not like that i mean i engage in strictly legal activities um um
