hear me out on this one- so sunny’s full name here is in fact Asahi, (which roughly translates to sunlight or morning sun), and the reason sunny has the nickname he has today is bc when kel met sunny he butchered his name so badly he accidentally came up with a perfect nickname for him

and its all bc sunny was such a shy kid he couldnt even say his name right and was too scared to correct kel when all he picked up was a mumbly -sahi- at the end of sunnys name
