Can the merfam leave the water and move around on land? How long can they stay out of the water?

The Merfam can stay on land for about half a day before they start getting lethargic: All Merfolk have a lot of trouble moving on land because they’re not used to the increased gravity, and can’t really crawl that far out of the shallows.
Besides the increased tiredness being out of water too long can cause: sunburns, itchy sand to stick, salt crusts, and ‘bad hair days’.
