( moon ga-young, female, she/her ⋇ silk robes and silk sheets, the opera at full blast, a well-nuanced side-eye ) … well if it ain’t 『 ANASTASIA LEE 』from 『 THE SOUTH DISTRICT 』! they’re a beloved member of crystal grove, been here for about 『 TWENTY-FIVE 』years now. that『 TWENTY-FIVE 』year old works here as a 『 LAWYER 』when they’re not busy 『 PAINTING 』. and it’s clear from their 『 FRESH BAMBOO 』 scent they’re a 『 BETA 』. they’re known to be 『 CHARISMATIC 』, but『 PETTY 』as well, but you didn’t hear that from me. why don’t you go on over and introduce yourself ?
hi i’m cinnamon! my pronouns are she/her, and i’m in gmt+8! i’m new to omegaverse but i’m excited to plot with you all! without further ado, here’s anastasia’s intro:
anastasia, ana, nasty for those who dislike her
born with a silver spoon, the third pup of a litter of five from a prominent alpha-omega pair in crystal grove. her family has dealt in wines for generations now, and rumor has it, some shadier dealings from time to time, but that’s hush hush
she was a sweet pup in the beginning. having been given everything she wanted and seemingly having no real problems, she had such a naive outlook on the world. maybe she was overly sheltered, yet at the same time slightly ignored. her parents’ attention often went to either her older siblings, or the younger ones
so she just did her thing, occupying herself with different hobbies and navigating life with bright eyes. nothing was bad, so she had no complaints
though all that changed when at the age of sixteen, she still had yet to present her dynamic. all her siblings already had, even the younger ones, and suddenly the air shifted. suddenly, she was being given crap about it, that maybe she wasn’t mature enough, and many other things that had struck a nerve with anastasia
so she acted out. in as many ways as she could. perhaps not the greatest way to earn her family’s respect, but one could say this was her rebellious phase. plus, it was better hearing them complain about things she could control, rather than things she couldn’t
on her seventeenth birthday, she presented with a fever. beta. the only beta in her family. not exactly a bad thing, but if she felt different before, she felt even more different now.
she wanted to feel connected to her family again, so she made amends, worked hard to regain their trust, learned and involved herself in the family trade while balancing college, then later on, law school
they say she didn’t have to study law, but anastasia didn’t see it that way. once aimless, but now she wanted to prove herself, and prove herself she did
those around her have a hard time pinpointing exactly when she had changed. she seemed to have transformed many times over, from a sweet pup to an absolute storm, and now on to something a little more icy yet with a spark underneath
these days, she spends most of her time working in the family business, providing her legal services wherever applicable
catch her painting when she’s taking a breather, maybe her works would provide a little more insight to the enigma that she’s become
&&. announcing his grace, ( ‘maksim’ kwon sangcheol ), the ( 40 ) year old ( duke ) of ( gyeongsang ). he is often confused with ( steven yeun ). some say that he is ( aloof & reticent ), but he is actually ( disciplined & brave ).
“But it is no use to justify yourself. It is no good to explain. It is weak to be anecdotal. It is wise to conceal the past even if there is nothing to conceal. A man’s power is in the half-light, in the half-seen movements of his hand and the unguessed-at expression of his face. It is the absence of facts that frightens people: the gap you open, into which they pour their fears, fantasies, desires.” — Hilary Mantel
“Let the truth be told: There is no virtue anywhere. Life is sly and unscrupulous, a blackguard, wolfish, severe. In service to itself, it will commit any offense. So, too, is Death possessed of infinite strategies and a gaunt nature- but also mercy, also grace and tenderness. In his own country, Death can be kind.” — Catherynne M. Valente
Idk those are just two quotes that sum up his whole vibe more concisely and in more beautiful prose than I could. And here’s his pinterest.
Sangcheol comes from a long line of esteemed military men. Most of South Korea’s Ministers of Defense since the restoration of the monarchy have been members of the Kwon family, usually the head.
He was born to Kwon Kyungtae, eldest son of the then-Duke of Gyeongsang and Lyudmila Tsoy, a Russian former gymnast of Korean descent from Primorsky. She was a member of the Eastern Orthodox church, and he was baptized Maksim, which is the name he goes by internationally. Friends call him Max.
Kyungtae had been well down the path to continuing the family’s legacy until his death in a training accident. Subsequently, Sangcheol’s grandfather and uncle took over his upbringing. It was a strict, often stifling childhood. He had always disliked the protocol and press attention that came with his position, but persevered because of his strong sense of duty. Still, the happiest times of his early life were visiting his mother’s family in Ussuriysk.
He did his first two years of undergrad at Saint Petersburg State University, before returning home to enroll at the Korean Army Academy Yeongcheon. All eyes were on him at KAAY.
Not long after he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, he was engaged to Anya Romanova. It was the type of match that couldn’t be refused. But neither of them really wanted or were ready for marriage, and it imploded quickly. At the time, it embarrassed him to be seen to fail publicly, but in hindsight he’s grateful for the experience. He and Anya have since built the type of friendship that can only exist between two people who know the worst sides of each other.
More importantly, after the divorce, he no longer felt beholden to the expectations that had bound him from birth. Against the wishes of most of his family, who feared a repeat of what had happened to their last heir, he volunteered for selection into the Korean special forces. He passed the grueling selection process with flying colors, followed by ( based on my research, horrifying ) training in all kinds of crazy shit, including a stint with DEVGRU in the US.
I’m keeping the details of his time in the special forces vague because it’s all classified anyway and there might be some room for ✨spicy plots. But suffice it to say: he’s seen, experienced, and done bad things. He came out of the experiences a different man, for worse and for better. He’s not a malicious person, but he’s a dangerous one.
That he would remarry seemed to be a forgone conclusion to everyone except Sangcheol, who was perfectly content being single and saw no real problem with his dukedom eventually passing to his sister’s children. The thought of another political marriage repulsed him, and the seemingly endless line of callow prospective brides marched before him did nothing to change his mind.
But Lady of Areum of Jeolla did. They had run in similar circles for most of their lives ( there are only five dukedoms in South Korea, after all ) but hadn’t seen each other for years. He was preoccupied with his dukedom and military career, and she had spent most of her adulthood out of the country. When they met again, they couldn’t stay away from each other. ( And they did try. )
On paper, it was an almost laughably suitable match, but some eyebrows were still raised. For one, both of them are unconventional in their own ways, especially Areum. More importantly, she’s the daughter of Princess Hyeryeong ( half-sister of the reigning Emperor, oldest living child of the previous Emperor and Empress ), and there are those who believe that it’s Areum’s brother who should sit on the throne.
all this to say someone please apply for Areum. adopt coming soon.
His wife was the one who finally come to the program. The idea of living in a hotel filled with this particular group of people for the express purpose of meeting and talking to them is his own personal hell, but he’s the Minister of Defense and despite the sizable Korean contingent already here he probably doesn’t trust any of their abilities. ( That isn’t necessarily a knock on any of them. He hardly trusts anyone. )
He’s every bit a military man in his bearing: clean-cut, disciplined, efficient. He isn’t an approachable man, which is handy since it dissuades others from approaching him unnecessarily. He’s notoriously inscrutable and sparing with his words. He doesn’t ( usually ) try to be intimidating, but it sort of happens anyway.
&&. announcing her royal highness, ( sophie ada helena stuart ), the ( 23 ) year old ( princess ) of ( scotland ). she is often confused with ( sydney sweeney ). some say that she is ( stubborn & unforgiving ), but she is actually ( vivacious & determined ).
Sophie is the third child of Queen Mary III and Prince Consort Kristijan of Scotland, little sister of Catherine and Margot. She’s also her mother’s least favorite child.
Mary’s plan had always been that her youngest child would win favor with their subjects and further burnish the family’s image. This, at least in part, is true: Sophie is viewed affectionately by the common people, especially few. But her popularity has quite a bit to do with the fact that she’s seen as as approachable and spirited -- far from the untouchable, demure, immaculate persona her mother demanded.
She had always been free-spirited (according to her father ) and troublesome ( according to her mother ). Incredibly strong-willed even as a child, she could not be budged once she had made up her mind about something. And she had a habit of asking troublesome questions: “it’s how we’ve always done it” or “because I said so” never seemed to satisfy her.
Like her sisters, she attended Gordonstoun, where she excelled at the things which interested her and skated by on everything else.
Since she was young, she had felt a nagging sense of alienation from her family. Something set her apart from her sisters apart from temperament, a distance that seemed to widen when talk turned to their futures.
She felt the same conflictedness when it came to the Church ( the Religious Trauma™️ ), a huge part of her childhood thanks to family history and her mother’s personal piety. When she was confirmed, she chose the name Jehanne after Joan of Arc, who she idolized as a child.
And then she realized she was gay. Which, in hindsight, she thinks should’ve been obvious sooner.
Sophie would realize, soon enough that her mother’s love was contingent upon meeting her expectations she couldn’t meet without becoming someone else. Why struggle for the crumbs of affection?
She’s can be an all-or-nothing person, despite generally being pretty chill and just here for a good time.
Eager to get away from the prying eyes of court, she set her eyes on America, where she attended UC Berkeley where she had planned to study philosophy and instead received a degree in sociology with a minor in LGBT studies.
On her twenty-first birthday, she was given the duchy of Albany. Sophie was honestly a bit surprised her mother didn’t withdraw it as a sign of disapproval, but she’s sort of embraced it, and has become involved in efforts to preserve traditional Scottish culture, and especially promoting the use of Scots and Scottish Gaelic.
I WANT POLYSHIPS. i want somehow older polyships that have been together for years and have kids and an established relationship and everything. i want polyships that are still working the ropes of being more than two people. i want friends that have been in love forever but never made a move because they thought the other liked the other coming to the realization that they all love each other. i want a couple on the rocks falling in love with someone who is pure energy and kindness and rediscovering happiness together. i want a polyship that is having a hard time but their love remains. i want all types of polyships.
&&. announcing her majesty, ( ada stewart ), the ( 42 ) year old ( queen ) of ( scotland ). she is often confused with ( jessica chastain ). some say that she is ( unforgiving & demanding ), but she is actually ( regal & ingenious ).
Ada is oldest child of the late King and Queen of Scots. Her childhood was spent preparing to become queen.
Both her parents were demanding, but her father in particular was a real tiger parent. Nothing she did ever seemed to be enough.
It didn’t help that he was much more affectionate with her younger siblings. As Ada grew older, she found herself caught between her desire for his approval and her resentment of the fact that he seemed to treat her as subpar when she actually excelled.
Their clashes were exacerbated by the fact that Ada is a chip off the old block in a lot of ways — perfectionistic, blunt, proud, unforgiving, and absolutely devoted to their family and country.
When she was in college, her father’s health (which had never been the best) took a turn for the worse, leading him to urge her to marry and have children as soon as possible. Ada agreed, despite her misgivings.
As soon as she graduated, at the age of 22, she married her betrothed, a prince, and became pregnant with their child after about a year. Her father died before he could meet his grandchild.
Ada gave birth to Princess Isobel, Duchess of Rothesay just a few months into her reign. Her daughter is her pride and joy.
Her husband died suddenly when Isobel was only a few years old. It wasn’t a marriage of love, but she was still shaken. Coping with a small child and widowhood all within the first few years of her reign was the most difficult thing she’s done, but Ada is nothing if not resolute.
Years have passed, and she has proven herself to be a successful and popular monarch. Ada loves being a queen, honestly.
She’s regal in her bearing. Many people find her intimidating — she’s fairly friendly, but she doesn’t mince words or suffer fools, and can’t abide by mediocrity.
Ada is close to her family and protective of them, as well as her close friends. On the flip side, she’s known to be unforgiving.
She has a lot of different interests and hobbies. Her logic is that a monarch should be able to relate to and understand all sorts of things, but she’s also naturally inquisitive and adventurous. Some interests of hers include languages, visual arts, history, and probably boxing/other martial arts.
Some wanted connections:
Her late husband’s family
Cousins and other extended family
Her siblings’ in-laws (at least a couple of her younger siblings married into foreign royal or noble families)
