The way abberations in the redacted pod are built on or functioning via negative human feelings like, anger/resentment towards the ones you love (the plaster pigs), helplessness/lack of friends or social connection (the skinner), grief/missing someone (the carnivorous trees), loneliness (the carol singer), whatever the fuck was going on with the house on lavender street (like a desire to not face your responsibilities or to get away form your life??) you get the point, is very interesting and will I feel be brought up in the future. Especially how it coresponds with solving those problems in a weird way, often atleast. Like the skinner was a good friend to Penny. Even if it killed people. The plaster pigs were something the families loved, even if they couldn't love each other anymore. The whole christmas episode was very sweet. Idfk what the trees were doing, ig people did get to hear their loved ones again?? The hiker at the start and Max clearly had hope for a few seconds. Eli and the othwr guy in the house did feel safe and content while there, and did get to avoid the responsibilities of life, atleast for a bit. Evrn if they do it in a twisted, weird way, you could interpret it as the entities attempting to "help" + tru only picks up on crime scenes, like what if there's liek 5000000 magical godmother fairies out there that are super nice but they just never get picked up on because they don't fir the kind of thing the unit is looking for? Or maybe the abberations are a manifestation of these feelings and in a way a subconcious consequence of people desprately hoping for a solution. Or maybe simply a malevolent entity using bad feelings to harm people. But that's just a theory. A podcast theory.
