Having seen Ocean's 8 again, I decided making notes (in the dark) while I was watching would be a good idea, mostly because I need more fanfiction of these babies and now I've read all of it my next step is trying to write some. These are just some cute character points I thought I'd share because they're good details and... why not...

- Debbie talks with her mouth full

- Daphne is confidently chewing gum at a press conference with like 30 reporters

- Lou wears a tonne of jewellery (necklaces, bracelets, rings), most of it gold

- When they're talking to Rose on the floor with the Nutella, Lou's (light blue) suit jacket is pulled together closed in some way but it isn't buttoned

- Lou has a colourful 'normal' phone case (unlike all her outfits)

- Rose has two pairs of glasses on her head at once, like she pushed one up but then needed different ones and just left them there

- "A him gets noticed, a her gets ignored" (but seriously nobody could ignore her in that dress at the gala)

- Tammy has an iPhone (6 ish) in a gold case, Debbie is named 'Debbie Ocean' on there (unlike her being 'Jlbrd' on Lou's)

- Constance lives in Queens (Lou's place/warehouse is most likely Manhattan because there's a couple shot of Central Park

- Constance hits the computer when it isn't working properly

- Daphne has a panic attack while Rose is practicing the dressing with the safety pin necklace

- Lou and Debbie's bingo scam was 10 years ago in New Jersey. Debbie has shorter hair like Lou's and a fringe, Lou looks basically the same.

- Lou's place is right next to where they are for the beach scene where they fight (Hudson river ?)

- Rose's phone case has flowers on it

- Nine Ball is painting white nail vanish on her toes in the van before the heist

- "The bathroom door you can't see because of your unique camera angles"

- When Daphne is talking to the security guards and James Corden they ask if there was anyone with her on the bathroom and her answers are 'my head' and 'I was barfing my guts out' but she must have known Constance was there so she's already covering for them even before Debbie and Lou approached her.

- We realised that Daphne.. "Was not a total frickin idiot."

-"You're becoming a criminal because you're lonely?"

- "Is it genetic, are the whole family like this ?"

- Daphne has Claude wrapped around her little finger and drooling over her

- When we see James Cordon get the picture of the diamond at Claude's from Debbie, it says '19 of 19', meaning they have sent 18 other pictures to each other for some reason

- They stored the foreign royal jewels in the fridge. Some of them were hanging on beer bottles

- Their shares - $38,800,000 each

- Constance does a handstand on a skateboard when she's at her new place.

A Question

Who knew about the other jewels ? Amita was there pushing the trolley with Lou after they got them so she must and logically Tammy would have been supervising them using the 3D printer to make all the duplicates but... I couldn't look at all their faces quick enough to see (but my mum said Tammy didn't have as much of a reaction) but now I'm really interested in the secret planing of that (which was kind of running a job in a job *raises eyebrows at Lou*) so if anyone has any theories on that let me know !

Also (because I'm really really invested in this), I'm kinda wondering how Lou's surname is being canonically accepted as Miller because I don't remember it being mentioned so if anyone's got any info on that please share !

Oscar voters vowed not to support Selma because of cast's 'I can't breathe' shirts, David Oyelowo and Ava DuVernay say

Oscar voters surprisingly didn't show much love for Selma in 2015, and Ava DuVernay and David Oyelowo have an idea of what might have held it back. Oyelowo, who starred as Martin Luther King Jr. in DuVernay's critically-acclaimed film, in an interview this week described how after DuVernay and the Selma cast wore 'I can't breathe' shirts in support of Eric Garner at the movie's premiere, the studio received complaints from Academy voters who pledged they wouldn't support it at the awards. 'I remember at the premiere of Selma us wearing 'I Can't Breathe' T-shirts in protest,' Oyelowo told Screen International. 'Members of the Academy called in to the studio and our producers saying, 'How dare they do that? Why are they stirring sh-t'? and 'We are not going to vote for that film because we do not think it is their place to be doing that.'' Oyelowo added that the protest is 'part of why that film didn't get everything that people think it should've got and it birthed #OscarsSoWhite.' DuVernay backed up Oyelowo's account on Twitter, writing, 'True story.' The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences responded to the story by tweeting, 'Ava & David, we hear you. Unacceptable. We're committed to progress.' Though Selma was nominated for Best Picture in 2015, its only other nomination was Best Original Song, an award it went on to win. Oyelowo unexpectedly didn't get a Best Actor nod, nor did DuVernay get nominated for Best Director. The Academy has long faced criticism over the lack of diversity of its nominees, especially the year Oyelowo was snubbed, when no actors of color were nominated at all. Okay, so I feel like doing gender reveal parties for your unborn child is shitty anyways, for a number of reasons, but the one thing that absolutely drives me up the wall is when the balloon/cake/box/whatever is popped/cut/opened and turns out to be pink inside and the child's father acts super disappointed. Like... please don't raise children?
