(Forgot to share the original blister/rash post last night. Nice right?) -*Picture does no justice right now.* Had the 'temporary' catheter in my neck replaced with a 'permanent' one in my chest today. I've been drilled about my allergies multiple times a day, for the past 4 days, as well as offering the information to literally anyone if something seemed suspicious. -Penicillin -Latex -Adhesive So you can probably imagine my surprise when I started to look and feel like I had chemical burns on my neck and chest, blisters and all, and a 'nurse manager' tells me at 8 pm that the dressings placed over my old incision before noon should've been removed after 2 hours. Now, imagine my god damn shock and fucking awe when I get to look at my neck without any dressings to see how bad the damage was and see BUTTERFLY STRIPS ON MY FUCKING INCISION. The last time I had strips on an incision, I had hives IN and around the stitches made after draining an ovarian cyst for WEEKS. AND IT WAS THE FUCKIN WORST. HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU GONNA ASK ABOUT MY ALLERGIES IF IT'S NOT EVEN GONNA MATTER?? IS BEING SUED FUN FOR YOU?? I had to ASK FOR A FUCKING BENADRYL MYSELF, AND IT STILL WASN'T ENOUGH, I can't have another for 6 HOURS, and that is NOT what someone having an extreme dermatologic reaction to YOUR NEGLIGENCE. Would it have been SO HARD to even ASK if butterfly strips were okay?? ? Because you know, I'M ALLERGIC TO ADHESIVES. And NOW the new catheter has become so sensitized to the antibacterial sponge they need to prevent infection especially because it's a DIRECT LINE TO MY HEART, that I have RINGS of blisters where they were and FEEL like I left bleach on my skin for hours. And I WOULD KNOW WHAT THAT FEELS LIKE. I'VE BEEN BLEACHING MY HAIR FOR ALMOST 7 YEARS. But I may or may not get to speak to a doctor tomorrow!! ! Giving the strips plenty of time to fuck me further. #AndDon'tEvenGetMeStartedAboutThisIV #LikeKillMe #IAmDeadFuckingSerious #BannerHospitalsAreJokes #RunFarTheFuckAway
