Quick question, what do you use to make gifs? And how do you make them so fast? I've used photoshop in the past but I'm so slow and can never get the text or timing juuuust right. Also do you just save yt or tumblr videos from the ep to make them or screen record? (If this is too much to ask no worries, don't want you to have to give away too much/I get it if it's too complex to explain)
i download the full episodes usually from thepiratebay which is illegal oops but oh well or i just download youtube vids or i’ll screen record if it’s anything other than b99 from netflix or hulu or wherever bc i have every b99 ep but that’s all i have and then i use photoshop!! i’ll go through what i do step by step just in case, so first i open the whole ep and then i move the slidey things to highlight just the clip i want for each individual gif and then i do export -> render video and then i import that video and click “video frames to layers” and then for the text i turn on the grid and i usually sit it just on top of the bottom or second from the bottom line and then i make sure to go to layer -> align -> horizontal center to make sure it’s directly in the middle of the gif and then bring it all the way up to the top of all the layers. for timing i usually put it at .05 but it depends on the video. and then do all the coloring and sharpening and stuff (let me know if you wanna know how to do those) so when you go to save it you click export -> save for web and click “preview” so you can see exactly how it’ll look and then you can go back and edit if the text looks off or if the coloring or timing or anything looks off!!!!!
