I have a headcanon that Ness is bi; he was with Paula and they broke up but still remained friends, then when Ness came to smash he met Lucas, who he is currently in a relationship with.

I was thinking, and, like, I can see Hamuko getting 100% nervous around people she /really really/ likes but when it comes to simple attraction she isn't as awkward or nervous. More or less straightforward, actually. A flirt? Yeah. A major flirt but she'd die inside trying to act that way around, say, Yukari most of the time.
