* He is a sweet man. He loves Pokemon, nature, and now you. Something about you really draws him in. Maybe it’s the fact you don’t mind his strange traits or maybe even consider his ideals with an open heart and mind. And that makes him feel absolutely smitten by you. He usually is an expert on pokemon but relationships and social cues with other humans were much more difficult to understand. But he still decides to try, seeing you were worth trying for.
* However- he quickly sees the new problem that arises. How? Well he tries a shy yet subtle way of trying to court you. Taking you out on moonlit picnics or giving you meaningful gifts. Being genuine since it’s how he truly feels about you. Only to overhear you saying “Yeah N is so cool! He’s the best friend I could ever ask for!”
* Got that man questioning what the hell did he do wrong. He was SURE his stories about romance gave very point blank romance advice. Roses, beautiful areas to dine at, genuine compliments…ok yeah he shouldn’t rely on fiction either but he’s trying. So what is he doing wrong?
* He even goes to his pokemon team, getting their opinions too. And his team are pretty observant bunches. And they all sigh and had to break it down to him in their language: You meant well. But didn’t really know if his gestures were romantic or just genuinely nice since…well to be fair on your part, N is ALWAYS nice. Which makes N surprised. Could that really be the reason you didn’t understand or seem to notice? Did you think he was…just being nice? Courting people is harder than he expected.
* So what do they devise? Bolder attempts! And N isn’t really sure how to but he practically becomes a literal malewife: Cooking for you, supporting you in your hobbies or battles, helping you with chores or your Pokemon. And STILL you struggled to get why he was suddenly so dedicated. Like you can see he’s acting differently but you didn’t know why. And this guy is now worried he’s made you uncomfortable by being too “persistent”.
* You can practically hear his Pokemon facepalm their own faces. So…His Zoroark straight up shoved (gently) N right at you. You both collided and thankfully he caught you before you could fall to the ground. And for once, you look up at him, blushing at the proximity and well being held by someone as pretty as N. And for the first time in awhile, he had the brightest smile seeing you blush like that. The reality finally hit you like a brick- that man was holding you like you were the world to him.
* After a proper discussion and a thousand apologies on your end, he simply smiles and asks properly to date you.
* And of course, how could you say no to him now?
Mini story time:
N couldn’t help but chuckle softly seeing you rushed and flustered, apologizing when you FINALLY saw through his intentions. He wasn’t mad or upset, never at you. He felt frustrated at first but now, he feels like he’s won the lottery. He listens to your every word, letting you finish before gently taking your hand into his. Holding onto it like he was afraid of dropping something so precious.
“I…would like to apologize too, (Y/n). I haven’t been completely open with you myself. I…was afraid of making you uncomfortable with my advances. I must admit…relationships are much more complex than friendships with pokemon,” He chuckles though, feeling a bit embarrassed from his own ignorance but much more relaxed feeling your hand in his, “So…I’ll stop avoiding the true feelings I have for you. (Y/n)…I wish to date you. Romantically. I understand if you might not want that with me but I can ensure my feelings are true and I…would be very happy if you felt the same as well.”
You looked at him, finally seeing him like it was the first time ever. And he was pouring his heart out to you. You didn’t think he truly saw you as more than a friend. And this revelation was probably the best thing you’ve heard all day. He gets nervous when you take a hot minute to process everything before giving him a smile that made his heart racing.
“Um…yes??? Of course I’d date you! I know you said it’s ok but shit I am SO sorry for not noticing sooner! Sweet arceus everything makes SO much more sense now…and you did it all for me…” You can’t help but laugh, “I promise to repay it back ok? Hugs, kisses, whatever you want! And…maybe we should be more upfront about this stuff.”
He laughs before pulling you into a big hug, “I think I can agree to those terms…if it means having you in my life. As my lover. Or um…girlfriend. I’ll have to get used to the term.”

* He’s always on the lookout for new experiments or ideas to inspire him. After all, creating gods takes time and he needs to find something to help him. That’s how he found you. It’s not too hard to do a little research on others. So discovering you had an idea of cloning really stuck to him. It’s genius. To clone a god? Why hadn’t he thought of that?!
* Obviously meeting him led to a very wary conversation with him. But seeing you not back down, not taking his shit really intrigued him. There was no fooling you and he adored the challenge. So he decided to make a business opportunity for you. He covers your tracks and allows you to use his lab for whatever you wanted, hell he’ll provide the materials no questions asked. As long as you help him do a few favors, you’d be set to enjoy your dream to its fullest extent. A deal too hard to resist. And the bastard is smart enough not to force or press you about it. Just think about it. He can wait…
* Eventually when you do agree to the deal, he actually keeps his word. Shockingly. You enjoy your time experimenting and he constantly visits to watch over your work. Irritatingly bothering you occasionally with that stupid grin of his. You wonder why he even bothered. But…neither did he understand why. He always felt that pull with you somehow…could it be affection?
* He laughed at the possibility. But once embedded into his head? He couldn’t ignore it. He’s fallen for you. Hard. And now he wants to challenge it. See if you can fall for him. But you slowly catch on. You challenge him back with that unexpected charm. And archons above he loves that shit✨
* When you guys do date, he’s very observant. Obsessed a little but he knows you want your space. The occasional kiss on the hand on your fingertips (he knows you nibble them so he does that on purpose), he takes every moment to steal a kiss even if it might piss you off, but sometimes he tells you stories of the archons and stuff he’s studied. He kinda likes having someone listen to him rambling.
* Although he doesn’t plan on slowing down his schemes, he does vow to protect you despite being a fatui. Your safety comes first in fact. And you know that man is quite ambitious. He’ll get it done by any means necessary. A true “I’ll burn the world for you” kinda man and he doesn’t hide it at all. At least he makes it apparent to you on what you’re getting into.
* Extra fact: He honestly would join you in your hobbies out of boredom and actually enjoy doing them with you.
Mini Story Time:
Another annoying failure. All these subjects for experiments have been pretty much a waste of time. He was ready to throw yet another tedious tantrum before sighing. Oh well. To get to success, one must step over a few failures to reach to the goal. Until then…He hasn’t checked on her yet. And he couldn’t have that. So of course he looks around for her before eventually finding her in the kitchen and pulling some freshly baked sweets.
“Awww you are so thoughtful. Are those for me~?” He grins seeing her immediate eye roll.
“Obviously not but I’m guessing you just want an excuse to bother me. Another failure?” She was quick to gun him down with words but he only chuckles.
“So cruel~ And after I came all this way to see you?” He yoinks a treat only to get his hand smacked, “Heh…ok ok fine. Yes. Another failure my love. My experiments have been quite frustrating. They refuse to cooperate. Hmm…if only my stubborn partner would let me borrow her clones. Then MAYBE I can get better results..?” He takes her hand to kiss it but she yanks him forward. He was taller but she yanked his ass down to lean over to her, face to face.
“I said no. And you’re not convincing me even if you got on your knees and begged me,” She grins back though, “But can’t say I wouldn’t enjoy the view~”
He grins maliciously, grabbing her waist with his free hand to pull her closer, “Oh you’d love that wouldn’t you~?”
She shoved him off though before he continued, “Don’t start or I’m not giving you ANY of these treats.”
He laughs, his laughter feeling surprisingly nice around her, “Oh alright. Last thing I need is to be denied of your masterpieces. Only a fool would ruin THAT opportunity.”
And of course he yaps nonstop as they chill together on the couch, the moment feeling warm and normal despite the situation they share. But with her in his arms? He can’t help but find it funny how much this woman has him in her fingertips…
