kaeya
he understands your predicament. all you want is to get away from the one who claimed to love you but was always up to no good! toxic people need to be removed from your life just like any other negative thing!!
so why didn’t he..
kaeya is a man to claim he only wants the best for you. to only protect you like any other client he ever takes in.
he was a very successful lawyer. especially in mondstadt where your trouble lies. you were extremely thankful to have him there with you all throughout the case.
but why only hold onto you for the case? don’t you want to try again with someone new? could he be that someone? he promises to treat you well. treat you like a god.
he’s devoted to you. somehow he always manages to find a valid reason to get you to come back to his office to chat with him.
you owed him your life for getting you out of your old circumstances. he was your free therapist for whenever you needed to talk about whatever was on your mind at that moment that troubled you.
letting you sit beside him as he rubs your back and praises you for getting past it, and how he’s always there for you. how you're such a brave being for talking about this.
he tries not to push you into a relationship immediately. instead, he tries throwing hints at you. that you should devote yourself to being his doting housewife. all he asks is for your hand in marriage.
and if you don’t want to do anything around the house, that’s alright! just be loyal to him and don’t try to run. it would be a shame if your ankles broke, now wouldn't it?
now all you need to do is sit down, take the pen, and sign your name on the line. no need to read over it. the fineprint isn’t important. it’s just to ensure that you consent to him being your lawyer. you trust him, don’t you?
zhongli
he uses contracts 24/7 on a daily basis for many reasons. this isn’t new to him. over the course of time, he’s developed ways of sneaking things into contracts that a normal human wouldn’t be able to catch unless they looked closely.
which was perfect. especially when you entered his office to file a divorce with your partner for whatever reason. you were a naive little thing who needed someone who could help you.
and of course, who was he to turn down such a pretty face? If there’s one thing about doing a case with him, it’s that he wants to make eye contact as much as possible.
but he doesn’t want eye contact with anyone. he specifically wants it with you. and only you. along with the eye contact concept, he hates when you make eye contact with anyone but him. it gives him the icks like crazy.
do him a favor and keep your eyes on him at all times, alright? he won’t ask you that face to face. he wouldn’t be able to hold back a blush if he tried. something about you just makes it hard to control himself.
he wants every inch of you to himself. he would do quite literally anything if it meant you would be his lover. but let’s get back to the main point. slipping something into your contract without your knowledge just makes him smile.
if you looked close enough into his eyes, you would notice his mischievous intent. but why would you suspect something so vile from the man who’s done everything to ensure your safety?
when he finally finished a copy of a contract, he slid it to your side of the desk where you sat and told you to sign. you didn’t bother reading it though. not like you ever did after your 2nd contract with him.
by that point, you trusted him with everything in your body. everything he now owned of you, of course!!
ningguang
oh, dear me! you seem so distraught by your partner. her first instinct is to get all the information she can. at first, you’re just another person trying to escape your life and start anew.
but as time passed and you both got to know each other a bit more, she was hooked on you. she wanted to see you daily. even if that was her day off. she wanted to spend it with you.
unfortunately, you weren’t always free to spend your time with her. you had a job and family who you also devoted yourself too.
but no worries! on days like that, she would watch you from afar to ensure your safety. she wouldn’t be able to live with herself if you had gotten hurt mentally or physically.
safety wise, if anyone was to hurt you, ningguang would spend her time digging as far as she could into that person’s files to get a valid reason to put them behind bars.
if they hurt you physically, there wouldn’t be much work to do. assault isn’t hard to put someone behind bars for. unlike physically where she needed more justification to get back at them for hurting you like that.
she is a feared woman. she always finds loopholes to get back at people so no one bothers to get on her bad side. though her patience for others was slim, she was more lenient with you.
you did something bad and she was right there? oh that’s unfortunate that she was turned around admiring a piece of art being sold! doesn’t look like there’s anything she can do about it if she didn’t see it herself.
so when she dragged you into her office letting you know she was almost ready to finish up your case for court, you were instructed to sign two contracts. one was a consent form. while the other was a form that would make you her property.
what’s the harm in lying, saying it’s just a backup form of consent in case anything happens to the first one? just be a good client and sign the forms, would you?
yanfei
she’s on the same level of IQ with contracts as zhongli and ningguang. except she is a little more experienced in lying.
it’s a secret she hasn’t told a soul. she has lied in court numerous times. that’s her secret. she didn’t want to tell anyone, but she swears she only does it for the greater good!
no one is the wiser to think she’s a liar. do you realize how long she’s been a lawyer for? anyone would be shamed on if they tried to call her out for lying.
so because yanfei is an amazing lawyer, you obviously chose her to help get you out of your toxic relationship. who wouldn’t? never in her time of showing up in court for a case has she lost a single one!
you were very impressed by her. she was successful like most people only desired to be. but you didn’t desire success in business or commerce. no, not one bit. you desired freedom from your life.
a freedom you believed only yanfei herself could help you reach. She promised you could rely on her for it. She gave you discounts on your case and offered to give you a position in her office for the meantime to help you pay what you had to.
this job was to be her partner in the office. you didn’t have to do what you think you might have. all you had to do was bring her drinks and food, talk to her during her breaks, and back her up when needed. which was rare.
“here, sign this. what is it? oh, it’s just a consent form to show you’re fine with me being your lawyer and also that you’re fine with assisting me in the office. you don’t mind signing it, right?”
you immediately assure her you have no problem signing it and you do so. not wanting to keep her waiting, you carelessly signed your name quickly and slid the paper and pen back to her.
“thank you, n/n. ah, m-my apologies! i meant y/n! i didn’t mean to-” she was a mess, blabbering about how she was sorry when all you could do was smile and laugh while telling her it was alright and the nickname was cute.
she hid her face in her hands as you got up and said your goodbyes for the day, telling her you’d see her tomorrow. also adding on that you want her to keep calling you that nickname.
“o-of course, n/n.. see you tomorrow for work!” and once she heard the door close she couldn’t help but smile and pick up the form you signed, allowing her full ownership of you.
heizou
he smiled as you entered his office. just like he did for every other client of his. you shot him a smile back and sat in the chair across from him.
as much as he wanted to halfass this like how he did most of the time, just seeing you and how desperate you were sent him to give it his all. though even when minimum effort was put into one of his cases, he still won, he didn’t want to risk anything bad happening to you and this case specifically.
he chose to dig deep into your partner’s data file for the first course of action and pulled out some records to look over. your partner wasn’t the best person to be around, let alone date.
“if this was your choice, why did you even get with them? were you unaware of all they had done beforehand?” you raised a brow at his question. “what have they done? i was never aware they had a record. may i take a look?”
he handed you the file for you to skim through. curiously, you pulled out one document at a time. your curious demeanor was replaced with a scared and shocked one.
you opened your mouth to speak but nothing would come out. your throat felt dry as you realized you were dating a horrible criminal. heizou did his best to hide back a smirk.
he couldn't be more ecstatic about you realizing you were dating such a person. there was no way you’d want to get back with them after this. that’s why you were here today, was it not?
to get out of the relationship? it’s what you wanted, right? well you’re in luck! he’d gladly get you single again if it meant he had a chance.
“before we continue this case, you’ll need to sign some papers tomorrow confirming you’re fully consented to me being your lawyer. can you do that?” you agreed to returning tomorrow to sign some papers.
“perfect. does 4 PM work for you?” he bit his tongue before he could call you ‘darling’. he didn’t want to scare you off. he never will want to scare you off!
soon you’ll be all his forever. then he wouldn’t mind calling you his. you didn’t have a choice but to just accept his affection. and tomorrow you’d set yourself in a position right where he wanted you.
ayato
when you were directed by a staff member to his office, he immediately looked up. you sat down and he couldn’t help but get excited to ask you all about yourself.
“uhm, shouldn’t we be talking about why i’m here? not about myself?” he chuckled. “of course. though i like to know my clients. i’m not compatible with all of them. what’s the point in wasting my time on foolish people who won’t understand a word i say?” he had a point.
so you both started talking. everything seemed innocent. but he had so many ideas on what to do with such information. he just had to make an extra file for himself!
“can we talk about why i’m here now? i want to get this case over with as soon as possible..” you sighed. “alright then. why are you here today, y/n?” “i want a divorce from my partner along with a restraining order.” he nodded.
“well i need you to first get them to sign these. do they ever read anything you give them?” you shook your head. “alright. get them to sign these by tomorrow. i want to get this started soon.”
you picked up the papers and skimmed through them. they were divorce papers. “i’ll get going now. goodbye, mr. kamisato. i appreciate you offering to help me.” he wore a shit eating grin as you walked out of his office, excited to let this all begin.
once you returned the next day with signed forms, he took them and put a paperclip on them. “sign this.” he slid a pen to you along with a paper. “What is it?”
he groaned. “just sign the paper, would you?” he was playing annoyed so you'd only comply and do what he wanted. he promised himself that once he got you with him, he would be nothing but kind and gentle towards you.
you eyed him, taken aback by his attitude. but you didn’t want to start anything so you signed whatever this paper was. once you did, you gave it back to him. but you were lost. why was he laughing all of a sudden?
“ mr. kamisato, is everything alright-?” you felt uneasy at his sudden response. “oh you must be so confused at the moment. i hate to break the news to you like this but you just signed away yourself to me.”
you immediately stood up. “so you tricked me?! i can’t believe i trusted you to help me! i should’ve known your snobby attitude was a red flag. i hate you so much!!” you snapped at him.
“you can hate me as much as you’d like, my love. but you can’t reverse what’s already done. so i’d suggest you sit back down before i do something rash to you.” he was quick and sharp with his response, like he knew what you were going to say and how he was going to respond to it.
instead of heeding his warning, you turned around and were making your way out of his office. but the door was locked. you fiddled with the knob until you finally gave up.
“you planned this, didn’t you? look, i’ll be yours. just let me out!” you were biting back tears and your shaky voice made it clear. but he only seemed amused at your fear.
“i’m afraid i can’t do that. then you’d try to get help. you’ll be staying at my estate forever, my love. now are you going to come with me willingly? or will i have to be forceful with you?”
al haitham
your desperation to be freed from your partner had driven you to going to al haitham’s office. there were plenty of lawyers in sumeru but al haitham was who was recommended to you by many. especially for your situation.
you didn’t know what made him so much better than anytother lawyer. he had a vision. That was quite literally the only distinct difference between him and others.
so when you walked in, you soon realized how handsome the man before you was. sure, you were trying to get out of a relationship now, but afterwards maybe you could try shooting your shot.
“why are you staring, y/n? something catch your eye? please, have a seat.” you blushed with embarrassment. were you really staring for that long? and how did he know your name?
you would ask whenever you had the chance. but it seems chit chat about random nonsense wasn’t on his to do list for you. he wanted to get straight into it.
“you see, i’d love to get to know my clients. but there’s a lot i have to work through when it comes to them so i don’t have any time to talk about things that don’t even belong in a case other than their name and some other stuff.”
you began telling him about why you were there, your current situation at the home, and how desperate you were for any type of help as soon as possible.
“of course. but i’m afraid i can’t just jump in immediately to help. you’ll need to give me your consent.” he leaned forward some and lifted your chin to make eye contact with you, “so, y/n, do you mind signing a consent form saying you don’t mind my help?”
the eye contact you both had made you blush and made it extremely hard to focus. “seems you’re staring off again. what has you so distracted, dear client? hm?”
his remarks were only made to tease you. but it wasn’t anything normal. he hadn’t done this for any of his clients. you’re the first one he’s done it for. you didn’t need to know that, though. he wanted you to only see him as your lawyer for now.
“go ahead and sign for me, alright?” you nodded and signed while your hand tried not to shake from the sensations soaring through your body.
you slid the form back to him and looked down, playing with your fingers in your lap. he checked your signature then put the paper down.
“you’re looking nervous. is something wrong?” he stood up to walk over to you, kneeling down to feel your forehead.
“you’re burning up! maybe you need to rest here for a bit. i’ll take care of you, no need to worry. there will be no extra fees for this either. just close your eyes and relax, alright?” which you did.
but your partner wasn’t quite sure where you had been the past couple of weeks. that’s a secret al haitham would never tell.
but would it really matter if you just gave yourself to al haitham? he could tell you liked him from the beginning. you weren’t very sneaky.
cyno
he teases you a lot about this case, cracking a joke here or there about your partner. as much as you despised them for what they’ve done to you, it felt off and weird that your lawyer was being so unprofessional at the moment.
“they signed the divorce papers, correct?” he asked. you nodded. “good. now i need to talk to you about something.” you looked confused. “alright. what is it?” you asked.
“this next form i’m about to give you will make you mine unless we both sign it off otherwise. but i won’t let you not sign it. so you’ll either need to sign it willingly or i can force you too. and i’m sure you know what i’m capable of..”
it took you a moment to process and register all he said. but you could pick up that he was threatening you. “c-cyno.. i don’t think i’m ready for another relationship right now…”
“i’m sorry to hear that, sweetness. but i’m also sorry to tell you that if you don’t sign it i’ll have to become forceful with you. you know i don’t like hurting you but i’m not against it. so please sign it..”
he gave you the paper and a pen. you looked up at him to see him staring right back at you. “go on. sign the paper. you always seemed to cooperate with me. so be good for me and sign that form.”
you caved. you were scared. scared of what he would do. his polearm sat in the corner of the room on his side of the desk. you had eyed it a couple of times.
“i appreciate it, sweetie. now come here and sit on my lap while i finish up some paperwork for the day. okay?” you had no choice but to get up and sit on his lap just like he asked.
