The show uses he/him but if you personally ask me any pronouns and headcanons about his gender are valid as long as it’s Not Cis

Also I’m good! Taking into account everything that’s going on, I was very lucky to be with my family when everything went down. Job hunting has been more of a pain than usual but at least I have the time to do commissions so I’m not being completely useless haha

Hey, I just want to tell u I enjoy your fanfic. What's it like being a teacher

Being a teacher is... weird. Like part of me still feels odd when people look to me for answers/knowledge/etc because most days I feel like I’m two kids in a trench coat stumbling around and I’m pretty sure I’ve got imposter syndrome?

Also a huge part of being a teacher is the fact that you’re never NOT a teacher. Like i think if you work in an office or what have you, you go home and you’re just you, not office worker you. As a teacher you’re always a teacher even when you’re at home doing something non-teacher. Part of this is due to actual legal obligations (as a teacher I’m a mandated reporter, meaning that if I see/suspect child abuse I’m legally mandated to report it, so I tend to freak out in semi-questionable situations) and part of it is due to teachers being underpaid and overworked, even in a state with fairly decent unions like California. You pretty much have to bring work home, especially during your first few years and you NEVER have everything you want or even everything you need. So like Sundays are workdays for me-- that’s when I do lesson prep for the week ahead and grading and such. Also depending on how the day/week goes I may end up just working after school with only a quick break to make dinner.

But at the same time being a teacher is AMAZING. I honestly love what I do and get so attached to the students. I damn near CRIED when I told my students I wouldn’t be at the school next year (because they’re cutting positions due to $$, despite our district admins making bank and the school needing those cut positions to function).
