Lilly for Target
Wow. That was a total shit show. I go to school in upstate New York a little outside of Albany. I never anticipated the shear number of people who would show up at Target up here. In the southern states? I expected it. Up here? No way. I showed up at the local Target at 8:10-8:15 am with three of my friends. The Lilly sections two of us had scoped out the day before? Empty. There where women with two cart-fulls of the product bartering to get more. It was scary. Women and girls were vulturing around the fitting rooms waiting for people to come out and see if they didn't want what they had tried on. My one friend was lucky enough to get a shift dress that sort of fit her from a woman (who was holding three of the same dress...). That being said, I got really lucky. I had just wanted to get a set of bobbie pins and nail polish. Evidently I looked so put out about missing the one item I had really wanted, a woman gave me a set (in the print I wanted too which was cool). She told me she’d grabbed a few and that I could have them if I liked. Within all the madness there were a few kind individuals who got lucky and in turn made my morning less dismal. Shout out to anyone who passed on the opportunity to make a quick buck reselling and made someone’s day. You’re the real MVPs and deserve a little attention in all the upset. Also way to go Target employees at the Target near me who almost got trampled by the crazy lady who took an entire rack of clothes. Suffice it to say this was a madhouse and not something I want to repeat anytime soon. Oh and congrats to everyone who got what they wanted and didn't die. May the odds be ever in your favor when dealing with the Lilly Hunger Games!
SUCCESS AT THE STORE!!!!! 2 shifts 2 pairs of shorts 1 pair of pants 1 bathing suit 1 scarf I FEEL SO LUCKY!
“I know we phoned in this collab. Just give her a fucking green juice or something and get the shot.“

Lilly for Target
I just want to weigh in on this. Honestly I both love and hate the idea. You have to wonder if they're going to release new prints solely for the Target line and if they do their quality. I love the Lilly pieces that I own and have no regrets in purchasing them. That being said, I'm a poor college student with loans out the ass. Having Lilly at Target would probably increase the size of my closet a bit. On the other hand, I feel like it does cheapen the brand a little. I'm not saying I'm too good for Target (I got my apartment squared away thanks to them) but one has to wonder about the quality of what will be available.
All in all, good for Lilly in branching out. Having a line at Target will get the brand more exposure and hopefully make a huge profit. I'm personally a little excited to see what they come up with in April and then see how I feel.
Let me know what y'all have to think on the matter!
