BRAVADO & CONFIDENCE-- WHAT WAS EXPECTED OF A SPY, MELTING AWAY. Slipping into something more private-- more personal. A masked man so used to saving face-- not hesitating to show that he was more than the suits he adorned.
“ I... mean in the bedroom. ” His throat was cleared, skin becoming more flushed beneath the material of his balaclava once what he had previously been eyeing was revealed, metal reflecting the light of its surroundings. “ Would you-- your... hm. ” Words dripping with apprehension, blush increasing in its intensity as his desires lay on the tip of his tongue.
“ Your hand. Th-The Gunslinger, to be more specific. ”
@lilolnumber:
“ I only got one mechanical hand, fellas. Do I gotta make a sign-up list ? ”
“M’fine with watching.”
silence --- a byproduct of the ringing in the medic’s ears, an explosion previously having shattered his current sense of reality ; what does he remember of the battle ? nothing worthwhile. rockets, shotguns, grenades - pellets flying by his ears, limbs torn from bodies. it was no longer shocking to see. but this blood wasn’t expected.
all it took was one shot.
white fabric turned a deep red, soaked with the blood of the healer ; not having noticed it until the shock wore off, a throbbing ache hitting his body, digging and digging until bone. tendons and muscle had split, excruciating pain finally making waves through him. too weak. he was too weak. blurred vision could barely make out the shapes of the room as his body felt too heavy to lift off the ground, back weighed down by exhaustion. a puddle was forming under him, staining cold concrete. what was that ? was that a person ? was it ---
❛ e-engineer, ❜ his breaths were labored, rising and falling of chest making the wound near his ribs ache worse and worse, teeth gritting. a weak smile crept on his face, eyes struggling to stay open.
tired. so tired.
❛ did we succeed ? ❜

@lilolnumber + i cannot believe this.
𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄, and men of science did weird, weird things. grotesquely weird things. maybe even things so weird they’d never tell another soul ! but medic wasn’t like that. no, medic would definitely talk about it. in his forty or so years on earth, he’d conducted as many strange experiments as he could get away with, and even some he couldn’t get away with. this however... he took a moment to consider what exactly he was going to say, tentatively peeling latex gloves off his hands.
❛ and... vhat exactly do you vant to use zese molds for... ? ❜ a hint of concern was audible in his words as steel blue met --- well, engineer’s goggles.
prompt. / @lilolnumber asked:
“ need a hand? ”
“ if i answer ‘yes’ and you detach the gunslinger again, i will whack you with it. ” he was serious, dell.
@lilolnumber cont.
Mick seldom often indulged in candy, but this particular brand had caught his eye due to the surprising gimmick they were going with when it came to their “secret ingredient”.
However, this experience was short lived, as Engineer entered the room, took it from him and popped it into his own mouth, as nonchalantly as if he’d simply waved at him.
"Oi-! I was in the middle’a eatin’ that, thanks.” The Sniper said, quirking an eyebrow. “Could’a asked if I ‘ad anymore.” He lifted the box they had come in, shuffling the contents, looking for another. If Engineer were to look closely, he’d see what was written on the side; “𝕊𝕆𝕌ℝ 𝕊ℂ𝕆ℝℙ𝕀𝕆ℕ 𝕊𝕌ℂ𝕂𝔼ℝ𝕊; 𝒴𝐸𝒮, 𝒲𝐸 𝑀𝐸𝒜𝒩 𝐼𝒯! 𝒯𝐻𝐸𝒴 𝑅𝐸𝒜𝐿𝐿𝒴 𝒟𝒪 𝒞𝒪𝒩𝒯𝒜𝐼𝒩 𝓢𝓒𝓞𝓡𝓟𝓘𝓞𝓝𝓢.”
He gave Dell a smirk, wondering how he’d react to that development; a part of him had hoped for a moment like this, but honestly expected someone like Scout to be the first one to fall victim to his prank.
