  “ oh.. i don’t know if i should.. “ the male began to protest as he was offered the child to hold. he was so small. so breakable. what if sirius did something that could BREAK him? then what? surely lily and james wouldn’t want him to be the kid’s godfather after that. but, despite his protests, the little squirming bundle was placed into his arms. sirius immediately felt himself go STIFF. “ uh... “ he said, glancing frantically from one parent to the other. he had hoped that he could find some cue of what to do next in their expressions.
