Life Today
So I’m just going to jump right into it without the bother of an introductory post. The friends I am staying with hosted a Bar-B-Q and my son and I participated. It was loads of fun! I’m not that great at socializing, but I do enjoy a social atmosphere. Usually I will read a book or, in today’s case, play Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire. I have recently restarted a new game just to play through it again. I really don’t like Gen 3 (never have), but it’s a Pokemon game so...whatever. I got my Pokemon moved from my Bank and organized my boxes. I caught a Level 15 Taillow when all of my Pokemon were only Level 5-7. I’m good at catching Pokemon, not so much the other parts. I hate level grinding. I haven’t yet made it to Rustboro City because I stopped after the Berry shop to do some WonderTrade, but my battery ran down.
Lil Raven (my son) had a great time playing with his friends. The babysitter is a best friend of my friends I’m staying with and her twins are just the right age for my son! He loves playing with those twins. There were other kids there, too. He has had such a wonderful weekend. I’m blessed that I can provide him with a positive environment to be raised in and a social circle. Right now, he is an only child and I feel as though I work too much so I worry he might get lonely. I hope he can stick with this cricle for friends for a very long time...
Tomorrow, the work week begins again. Ugh... I don’t hate my job, but it is very boring and doesn’t give me the amount of social interaction that I require to be cheerful. I’m a housekeeper at a food production plant. I don’t go near the food, I only clean the break rooms. I am used to working in fast food with lots of people and working on a team. Here, I can roam around (to limited areas, obviously) with little to no supervision yet I cannot talk to lots of people and it’s difficult to find something to do for 8 hours. I have developed a routine, but I still have long periods of time where there is nothing for me to do. Oh well. Now tha the custody battle has been settled, I am trying to arrange working on Saturdays when my son is with his dad. That will give me overtime on paychecks and I can certainly afford almost an entire month’s rent with one check. I’m so excited! I’m ready to get my own place with my son!
I need sleep, however. Tomorrow’s routine will include our morning walk around the park. We gotta be there around 8 AM if we want to beat the heat.
Loves, readers!
