I realized smth— You guys probably don’t know much about my MM Mona Lisa interpretation bc I don’t post much about her lore

This is a oddly specific question for Tales of the TMNT fans buttttt—

Which episode/arc format do you guys prefer? Season 1 or Season 2?

NOW BEFORE U CALL ME CRAZY OLEASE HEAR ME OUT !!

In Season 1,

There are 12 episodes, and the first 6 are about Bishop and her mechazoids. Each of those episodes shows the turtles doing their part in the battle on their own because they have been separated after the explosion.

And the same format is the same for arc 2 about the East River three !!

While, in Season 2,

There are 4 arcs, 1 for each turtle, that are all split into 3 episodes each.

Now I’m gonna list out the pros and cons for each !!

Season 1 format PROS:

A longer arc

Fleshes out new characters more in depth

The build up is BUILDING UPP

We have 2 episodes that aren’t turtle focused and talks about other characters like April, Splinter, etc (correct if I’m wrong btw)

We see how the turtles act when they are forced to separate from one another

The character dynamics are just MWAH

Season 1 format CONS:

Lines are blurred on what’s canon and what’s made up (lowk that’s js a nitpick I have)

Some episodes were a bit weaker— EX: In ‘The Pearl’ arc, Mikey’s character growth is making a decision for himself while Raphael learned that his anger affects everyone around him. Raphael had a bigger character growth- in my opinion- in this arc compared to Mikey and the rest of his bros.

Adding on to this, each of the character development we have of the turtles is kinda treated like a ‘huh! That’s a cool fun fact to add to their character and lore’

Season 1 kinda breaks the mold without even setting it up (if that makes sense)

Season 2 format PROS:

CHARACTER DYNAMICS ONCE AGAIN— SO LOVELY !!

They mention a lot of thought provoking questions and expand on the world building

The action is so top tier, and they explore different types of genres too !! (Donnie had horror, Raph had action, etc)

We see how the turtles separate themselves from the others due to their differences

The vibes are vibing

It has a lot of things directly from the movie like Baxter Stockman !!

We understand the turtles more fully, and see them at their lowest and how they climb up from there !!

Season 2 format CONS:

They don’t have a lot of focus on characters like April, Splinter, etc. I haven’t watched Leo’s and Mikey’s arc, but i think this point still stands !!

The side characters they introduce aren’t fleshed out- EX: Spuds, Irma, Tokka & Rozhar, etc. it makes you forget they even existed

The pacing was QUICKK. It is hard to register what’s going on, and before you know it, it’s resolved

They throw in a lot of information all at once, yet don’t expand on it in full detail

Lowk baiting us at times with all of the Highschool mentions yet no Highschool scenes (again, I haven’t watch Leo and Mikey’s thing so I could be wrong)

The big bads in Season 1 aren’t in here !!

Was all of these cons going to get resolved in seasons 3 and 4? Yeah probably. Can we see that happen? NO👹 YES IM STILL SALTY, PARAMOUNT WHEN I CATCH YOU—

I love both seasons, love season 2 a bit more though, but it makes me wonder why the change in formatting.

To answer my very first question—

I personally like the ideas explored with season 2, and how each of the turtles separated, but love the way that season 1 had time to ✨marinate✨ on the story.

CHARACTERS I WANT TO SEE IN TALES OF THE TMNT SEASON 2 AND MUCH MORE !!

Inshallah they will show up and make the show awesome !!

(Casey, Shredder, and The Foot is not mentioned bc I think they will be in the sequel)

FUGITOID

Fugitoid is actually confirmed to be in Tales of the TMNT- WHICH IS SO HYPE?? HELLO??? Finna make some fanart of peak brb /hj

I think he will be a super SICKKK addition to the show !! My theory is that he is the second attempt of making Metalhead that Donnie did since Metalhead died in the mechazoid fight (king will be missed)

Based on my memory, I’m sure Bishop will be back, so maybe we will get an epic show off with Fugitoid and Bishop!! Like, the turtles are hurt or smth and can’t fight, so Fugitoid is there to save the day !!

MONA LISA

If you take one look at my blog, yk how ABSOLUTELY CRAZY I am over her !! I feel like she is a cute and fun character that the TMNT franchise should utilize more. (I rlly like her 87’ appearance, she’s just so AGHHHH 🫶)

Tales doesn’t seem to do romance though, the only relationship really being Scumbug and Splinter (WHICH IS MY OTP BTW THEY R SO CUTE I LOVED MARRIED COUPLES) along with small hints of Aprilnardo.

So, if they do add Mona Lisa, I’m not sure if they will make her be a love interest for Raph—BUT that’s okay!! Mona Lisa is a strong character on her own, without needing romance to define her.

IRMA

OH. MY. GOODNESSSSSS- I NEED HER. I lowkey want Irma to be in Tales more than I want Mona Lisa man. I HAVE IDEASS AFTER IDEAS FOR HERRR

1. Bangladeshi (or any type of south Asian) Irma I just rlly like desi Irma gang

2. She transfers to Eastman high and befriends April

3. THE BESTIE GIRLS EVERRRR !!

They are so many ideas you can use with Irma! Maybe she will show up in episodes where they are in a school/more relaxing setting!! Irma is such an underrated character in the tmnt franchise and they r many ways she can contribute to tales episode plot lines !!

TIGER CLAW

I WANT MORE OPPPPSSSS !! We got the purple dragons (love their portrayal in tales), Bad Bernie is hella funny, GOLDFIN WAS SO PEAKKKKKKK 🔥, Bishop is a absolute DIVA and I need more of her

Tiger claw could be a fun villain man !!

GASP WHAT IF RON DID GET MUTATED AND BECAME TIGER CLAW ?? Would that be fun 🤔 Do we rlly want Ron back thooo🤨

OOORRR !! What if Tiger Claw is a villain that the Purple Dragons get ahold of and use him on the black market 👀

Either way, IK for SURE he would have a cool backstory and super cool fighting scenes if he was in the show !!

TOKKA & RAHZAR

HEAR ME OUT. They have a duo show down with bebop and rocksteady (if bebop and rocksteady end up being back in the show)

What if mutant mayhem/TOTTMNT Usagi was an animal tested on bunny?

You know how they use animal testing for stuff like shampoo?

I wouldn’t be surprised if a twisted product making company somehow got their hands on mutagen oozee— probably through the Null Group, TCRI, or The Purple Dragons— and they decided to test it out on a rabbit. That rabbit then becomes Usagi!!

OR WHAT IF IT WAS THE NULL GROUP WHO MADE USAGI ??
