He doesn’t want to die, but dying for something wouldn’t be the worst end imaginable. He doesn’t want to die, only to understand why he should still be here while others weren’t offered the same reprieve. Harry forces himself to meet her gaze, forces himself to meet her standard of honesty, “ I want to be here. ––– I want to be worthy of being here. ”

you can only wander through life giving limited attention to every detail of it for so long and, it seems that today, yes, this fateful day, is that day for danny ryder. he refused to look where he was going (had he ever) and ... yes ... yes, he’s done it. he’s gone and done it. finally, there’s consequences for his actions. he walks straight into this unsuspecting individual and knocks the hot beverage right out of their hands. moments after them receiving it and danny abandoning his own place in the queue because of how long it was taking and BAM! the collision takes place --- it’s chaos. children are screaming, fires are burning down the buildings, people are pillaging the streets, coffee or tea or hot chocolate or whatever this person had planned on drinking is but a puddle on the floor at this point. danny’s eyes open to the world for the first time, it seems, with this look of total shock -- how could this have happened to him who was so careful?

“ oh my god ... ” it’s but a quiet whisper, but the terror in danny’s eyes is paramount. “ you drinkin’ that? ”

there are certain character that fandoms really kill for me and make me lose complete interest in and draco was always a big one in that respect. the thought and care you put into rounding him out and staying true to his canon while also understanding and developing him w/o woobifying him reinvigorated my interest in him altogether. i rarely see people able to portray antagonistic characters and maintain the balance between over softening and over antagonizing and you do it extremely well.

OUT. thank you, honestly. i definitely understand what you mean about fandoms woobifying characters to the point that the character becomes annoying and unbearable. but knowing i changed your perspective on him even a little bit makes me happy!
