Basically, Roger owned a pair of some amazing maracas, and apparently Freddie got too excited about it or something and threw them for the audience to get them. And so backstage, Roger is all pissed at Freddie but it's so goddamn hilarious 'cause he's like "Those were my only great pair of my sounding maracas!" and then Freddie just yeeted them to the crowd!

i don't think the point of the bechdel test is to see if a movie is sexist or not tho. i think the point is more like "hey, how many movies that you know of actually passed this test? just a few, right?? wELL". like, it wasn't created as a real test, it was featured in a comic and a woman was talking about how hard it is to watch a movie that fits those standarts. at least thats what i heard

I understand the point of it, but people act as if it’s the end all and be all of sexism in movies. So often people will be like “This movie is sexist because it didn’t past the test” or “This movie obviously isn’t sexist because, hey look, it based the Bechdel Test.”Like 50 Shades of Grey passes the Bechdel test. Does it make this movie any less damaging towards females? No! The New Spongebob movie didn’t pass so obviously that movie is sexist!The basic idea of the test holds, but it’s not the only thing you have to add to the equation when it comes to sexism in movies, and people need to stop acting like its some sort of scholarly test, rather than one created in a comic strip.

yes. i was expecting her to shit on him the whole time. i WANTED her to. i wanted her to say 'and you think I'M not fit for going to the field?' or whatever. i do understand the whole ~getting pissed and guilty over getting his own tenent killed~ but a- that was his mistake in the first place (sleeping? seriously?) and b- if you can't keep your cool during critical times, you are NOT FIT for special intelligence. period. it may have been a mistake but it was STILL HIS FAULT

and it's like all of a sudden they think it's ok that he was a dick because of his ~tragic backstory~. i was SO pissed when peggy decided to go have drinks with them. i know that's what she wanted, but she's basically letting him walk away with everything he's done and said. and not just that, it is also COMPLETELY ooc, especially considering how she reacted to being promoted in the short movie.

i hope you don't mind me publishing this because yes YES to all of this. her reaction to being promoted in the one-shot was actually in character, as opposed to her very ooc behavior in the end of episode 5. maybe if his story had been actually worthy of earning some compassion but i'm sorry finding out he's a war criminal and still lets himself be called a hero for it didn't make me feel anything but anger.
