Limber Up
Tonight’s class was more focused on preparing for the break a thon. Making sure our basic kicks and punches are getting the proper vectors and correct transfer of power. My biggest take from class was actually all the hip stretches. Hip height is ideal to do front thrust kicks, side heels, spinning back kicks. Right now that’s my max height which is good for those kicks, but is bad for lots of other techniques and applications. Stretching is something that never really crosses my mind anytime other than when I’m warming up. Being shown new stretches will be a big help in improving my flexibility, the rest be from stretching before and after a training session.
