Oh hey man, sick Neck Deep reference
Lewis's Building. Holga 120. Ilford HP5.
Lewis's Building on Lime Street has stood largely empty since the demise of the Lewis's department store chain. It's doors closed in 2010. Plans are afoot to make it the "third largest shopping centre" in the city.
The artwork above the former main entrance is the work of Jacob Epstein called Liverpool Resurgence It consists of an 18ft bronze statue of a nude man (known locally as "Nobby Lewis" or "Dicky Lewis") and three relief panels representing the generation who the artist thought would benefit from the rebuilding of the city following World War Two. The children depicted are based on the Epsteins own children and grandchildren.

Another set of photos from bumbling around Merseyside, including a cat which is apparently (despite appearances) a regular at Liverpool South Parkway. One of the most modern stations in the area and yet it has this scruffy little unofficial mascot cat. Just give the thing a job! Smh have we learned nothing from Japan's railway cat craze? The photo isn't the finest even by my standards, but in my defense I was running for another train!
This is actually the final post of this little daily posting streak I've had in the queue. I just wanted to thank everyone for liking and commenting! Genuinely it means the world. I've always struggled to properly put myself out there content wise, and whilst I don't know when I'll next have something out, I'll try to make sure I put out something every once in a while. 😊
