I know people often say they don’t have money to create theatrical or costume kind of makeup, but honestly...using eyeshadow palettes work great for simple zombiefied looks and could work for other characters depending on the complexity. I did use some water based paints in this eye art, but it could have been achieved just using eyeshadows, eyeliner, and some lipstick.

I know Anastasia’s Subculture palette got so much hate before (which is actually why I wanted to buy it and try it out 😆). It used to be my favorite palette at the time I got it, but now that I’ve experimented with more brands, it’s definitely a little harder to work with, but NOT impossible. 🙃 A little bit of the eyeshadows goes a long way. I think it’s one of the best eyeshadow palettes FOR zombie looks tbh since fallout can actually work to your advantage. 😆 And Lime Crime’s Venus and Venus II palettes are fantastic as well. A little on the $$ side, but quality wise, it’s great for both arty kind of makeup as well as beauty makeup. You could find good dupes for these kinds of colors though at a drugstore. 😊
