Hunt Museum Tasting - Thankyou !!

Thurdsay 21st proved to be a really fun evening, which was made even better by the guests, many of whom had made really sterling efforts to get us over the start line.

A huge hand to Andrew Carey at the Limerick Post who really led this through Twitter, suggested guests and generally acted like an all round Trojan, many thanks as it was above and beyond.

I have to say that the Hunt is one of my favourite spots for this kind of thing, the staff from Dominique down are uniformly helpful and nothing is too much trouble - My only disappointment ? That we were once again thwarted by the Irish climate and forced into the admirable 'Captains Room'.

On a personal level , it was very nice indeed to meet Peggy Cusack again, who worked with one of my oldest and best customers, the late Gordon Holmes, favoured son of Limerick - Peggy, next time, no driving !!

Standouts ? There were a few, notably Mas De Cadenet Rose, Estoras Gruner and, unsurprsingly 2001 la Commanderie Mazeyres.

The good news ? We are going to do it again in September (the 22nd, since you asked) at the Absolute Hotel, where Donnacha Hurley has been another enormous help.
