Worth? by Tony Via Flickr: Day 89-90, At Sea: CMV World Cruise So after two days confined to cabin as my mum had contracted norovirus. She was not very ill with it and coped well. We had to be fed inside the cabin, paper plates and plastic cutlery did not enhance the meal. I did not ill with the virus and hatched an escape plan. By day two I was busy digging my escape tunnel into the cabin below. Hahhh plastic spoons appeared to be useless against metal flooring. To be hones I couldn’t even get through the carpet. This photo Is actually from a recent trip into Liverpool.

North Western Hotel, Liverpool by Tony Via Flickr: Built as a railway hotel 1871 by the London and North Western Railway the hotel served Lime Street railway station. The design was by Alfred Waterhouse, containing 330 rooms. The hotel closed in 1933, subsequently becoming Lime Street Chambers for a while before closing once again. In 1994 the building was bought by John Moores University and, at a cost of £6 million, was converted into a hall of residence for students, opening in 1996.

How a bit of spectacular architecture for a change? I think this is called the Willis Building on Lime St London EC3. It’s next to the Lloyds Building which I visited and was privileged to a conducted tour and a lovely long lunch like they do in The City!
